400w mh light, leave glass shield on?

    Thoughts on leaving the glass cover on the light? Yes, it reduces heat, but does it take away light?

    Yes. Well an exhaust fan attached to it on the left where the bulb screws in. Other than that no. It's about 80f with the glass on. The fan is so powerful, the amount of air it pulls in thru the intake holes is a great breeze

    I dont think the glass on effects the light much unless its dirty. Thats true it was in my book I got.

    As long as you have a fan pulling some of the hot air out id leave it on to keep your temps down.

    without the fan it hit like 85 in a few minutes lol
