I have a 400w MH/HPS system which has been sitting unused due to my current lack of space. I was about to sell it and purchase something less powerful but then I considered the chance of being able to make it work using a cool tube and high flow circulation. The cabinet which I'm limited to is 2x2x4. I know its overkill, but I already have the system and hate seeing it unused. With the amount of airflow needed to keep temperatures right, I would assume a lot of noise will be involved, which I can't have. What do you all think?
I run a 6" Vortex on a speed control with my Cool tube and the noise isn't that bad, but I stuffed the fan in the attic. You can always run a larger fan (8") at a slower speed if you need to.
