4 fan through 8 filter

    I'm thinking of buying a Phresh Filter 8" x 39" but I have a 4" inline fan. Would the filter still be effective? NO SMELL is a must for me..

    Help please.. I know you shouldn't reduce but I'm going from small to big.. Is that ok?
