Growing 3 plants under the stairs. Dimensions are 3' wide by 5' deep. 2' high in the back to 6' high in the front.

    1 Lemon Ice (11/27)
    1 Super Skunk (11/27)

    Recently ordered:
    Chocalope fem
    Strawberry Cough fem
    Super Lemon Haze fem

Once the first ones sprout they'll go under 2 GalaxyHydro 300w LEDs and 1 MarsHydro 1000w LED (coming 11/29)
When the feminized seeds arrive (around 12/15) and sprout, I will veg everything for 2-3 more weeks then switch to flower. Will have to wait and see if the Lemon Ice and Super Skunk are female as they weren't feminized seeds.

4" Ventech fan and a carbon scrubber for exhaust.
4" inlet with a fan pulling fresher air in. Cold Air Humidifier.

I plan on running for 24hrs to see where temps and humidity sit, will put timers on lights to alternate the supplemental LEDs ON/OFF if needed. Will run 18/6

  2. The MarsHydro light came in today! I rearranged and did some cable management. Hooked up timers. I also remembered I'm using an ACinfinity inline fan, my Ventech was too loud.

I will be reusing soil from previous grows. I have a ph kit coming in a few days. I have some Dynomyco (mycorrhizal inoculant) coming too to amend the soil. Will probably get some worm castings too.

For nutrients I'm using Neptune's Harvest fish and seaweed emulsion. I will get some calmag and a few other nutrients on down the road. Open to suggestions!

Now I just have to wait for the first few to sprout so I can actually start this shit.

  3. I picked up some soil amendments; bone meal, worm castings, and compost/manure.
    PXL_20201129_153018507.jpg

I have about 2.2 cu ft of FFOF that I've used a few cycles. Extra perlite and peat moss were added when first used. I will amend the soil and then check soil ph. Adjust if needed, then add the mycorrhizal inoculant when it arrives.

  5. So I had some issues with the first set of seeds; I left them on a space heater after checking on them and fried em..

So after germinating 2 more Super Skunk and 2 more Lemon Ice (straight into soil on 12/3), only the Lemon Ice sprouted (12/7).

The Chocalope, Strawberry Cough, and Lemon Haze shipped today, hopefully be here by Mon.

Thinking about germinating just 1 Strawberry Cough, as it's feminized and germination is guaranteed, and just run the 3 plants to keep it a little more simple.

  6. Going to further amend the soil to try and organically feed through the whole grow, no bottled nutrients.

I added azomite and bat guano ( HEY IT'S STINKY) to the future soil ( soil for the bigger pots)

I also have kelp meal and alfalfa meal coming, will add those to let everything climatize before transplanting into it.

  7. They stretched a bit, and the tips burned a bit too.

I pulled the guts out of the 2 blurple lights to get rid of the extra heat inside the grow area. (only going to be used for flowering)

  9. Kelp meal and Alfalfa meal were added to the soil today.
    PXL_20201216_221959414.jpg
    So soil contents as follows:
·Approx 2 cu. ft. Of used FFOF (perlite and peat moss added when first used)
    ·Compost/Manure
    ·Earthworm castings
    ·Bat guano
    ·Bone meal
    ·Kelp meal
    ·Alfalfa meal

This is 9 days from breaking soil, pushing out 3rd nodes. I was running the light at 50%, turned them up to 100% today.

The feminized seeds will be here by Fri. Strawberry Cough will be germinated ASAP.

  10. Be careful of light intensity! I have my sf4000 30" away at 85% power. Also make sure your vpd(vapor pressure deficit) is on point.

  11. "Turgor pressure can be affected of course by temp and RH, but other factors such as salinity and hormones can also effect this. I agree that VPD should remain in the 8-10 range, but this does not ensure proper gas exchange and vigor, that would take some pretty expensive equipment to determine."

Sounds kind of complicated.. buy what I read was basically is to have the air outside the grow area similar in temp and RH.. yes?

  12. Well that question I cannot answer as this would only be my 2nd tent grow. I'm used to 20x20 rooms or 40x40 rooms. I correlate proper vpd with root health. If vpd suffers the roots suffer, this giving you stunted or sick plants. I haven't ever brought the outside the tent temp and rh to levels that match the inside the tent levels and never had any problems. I do however have problems when my vpd is not in range where it should be. Slow growth, soil drying out quick, light burn, etc.

When you talk about hormones and salinity, my brain did a flip as I have not heard that before. I've always based it off of temp and rh.

  13. I gotcha. I was reading this thread on it, that's where I got that quote..

Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) and You!

  14. Excellent! Thanks for the link!

  15. The seeds from ILGM arrived Fri. I popped one Strawberry Cough into some water, it cracked open within 24hrs. Put into soil.

So the Strawberry Cough broke soil 12/23. I transferred the Lemon Ices to 3 gal fabric pots also.

Room stays around 77° lights on and around 70° at night. Humidity stays right at 50%.

I transplanted the strawberry cough yesterday (veg day 10).

I topped the lemon ices (veg day 20) maybe a week ago. I just tied them down for the first time. The one on the left is the bigger of the two lemons.

Been watering every 2 or 3 days with dechlorinated tap water ph'd around 6.5.
