2x2x4 250W HPS Autoflower grow

  1. What's up everybody? I've been lurking around these forums for years and have picked up a ton of tips that I've used to grow a few plants. I'm now unto my third hydro grow and thought I would post up a journal for the flowering portion of my current grow.

As the title entails, I'm growing in a homemade grow box that measures 2ftx2ftx4ft on the outside of the box, with a 250W high pressure sodium light. I've got a 165 cfm inline fan for exhaust that's pushing through a 4 inch carbon filter located outside of the grow box. The box is in an attic, so when temperatures were warmer I had a 60 cfm duct fan pushing air into the grow box as well, but it has now been switched out for a small heater that's being run on a timer.

On to the plant...I'm growing a Crop King Seeds Northern Lights Autoflower (fourth time I've grown this strain) in a ~7gallon container using primarily Fox farm nutrients. I've used big bloom and grow big during the vegetative period, added tiger bloom and open sesame for the transition into flowering, and I am going to start adding cha ching in the near future. Oh...also I've been using mammoth microbes throughout the grow. The plant is ~6.5 weeks in and is just starting to show pistils in its tops!
