Not too shabby looking considering the disaster! Overall I'm happy with the cabinet (though using black silicon and pipe insulation to block the light has been harder than I thought - until I remembered that you can use Vaseline on one side to prevent the silicon from sticking to that side). I got to solve the heating issue though - the temperature drops to a low level at night (59 degrees) (old house, too expensive to leave heat running and I need to buy a heater). One complaint, and I hope you have some insight that will save me a trip to the hardware store (because Lowes and HomeDepot didn't help): The shelving brackets are metric, and I can't find any locally that will fit the cabinet. I want to put a wire frame shelf in there (actually two) one to support the filter and hang lights from, and one possibly to act as a trelis, and if I could get an adjustable bracket that would fit the rails I could buy shelving from HD or Lowes easily. Any ideas Doc ?
I put a small heater that has a thermostat to turn it on and off. It's all analog so if the electricity goes off, when it comes back on its still all set. My small ac unit is the same way. My fan for circulation is digital so if something cuts it off I have to get in there and reset it back up how I had it. Between those my temp problems are solved year round. Now I've been able to test them both in the extremes and they work like champs. All he other stuff I haven't dealt with so I got no real advice. Good luck, I have been very happy with my cabinet.

I finally modified the cabinet to meet my wants, after destroying two drills (they were Harbor Freight drills I bought 10 years ago, surprised they lasted this long to be honest). Seville Classics couldn't help me with the bracket, and Home Depot was extremely useful, but in the end I ended up coming up with the solution instead of the people I asked for help. I ended up getting the Closetmaid 6x15.85 inches shelving, and cut it to 35 inches wide. I then got some of the single tab brackets (the 12 inch ones are most stable), and bent the bottom tab 90 degrees. It's not 100% rock solid, but it is stable enough to hold the plants, fans, etc. Note there is some slight bowing, which I may have to prop up in front of the louvre that I took from my last cabinet. Also don't laugh at the 6x 68W / "300W" CFLs, they worked great for my last grow, but I'm planning on replacing that with either 400W or 600W HPS next month. The inline fan is shit, but I have a fan on order to replace it - the Hydrofarms 6 inch inline I bought was shit and failed the first week - I had to resort to my old trusty 4" inline.
Looks great to me. Nice and clean. I might upgrade my lights. I scared it will over tax my breaker. Lights for seedling box on 24/7, lights for flower on half the time, ac in summer, heat in winter. If I add another heater it pops the breaker. So the converter box for hps may be too much. We will see. I'm definitely hooked on growing.

on my bs. ive noticed its not drinking near as much water as it used to. i watered it every other day, then it switched to every four days or so before the soil was dry enough to water. I have also noticed some of the tips in my buds turning brown and cracking and the leaves seem to hang a little low and show signs of Chloris. they kind of have a brown marble look to some of them. I think she is taking longer to flower than normal but i have no way of knowing since i dont have any clue to the genetics. what do you guys think. you can see some of what im talking about in my pics.
I'm pretty sure I had nuit burn. So I flushed her with 5gallons of water that I ph balanced only. I will post pics at the bottom of my overview.

It was a couple days later and the soil was still not as dry as I would want it before watering. This caused a significant delay in harvest I think. My last grow showed signs of this as well and now I understand the process better. I should be able to avoid any such problems with my PE2. 2. She is getting very sparkly.
