  1. I have some plants from seed both about 2.2" tall.
I am going to give one of them light 24/7 and I am going to give the other 6 hrs of dark.
During the day I take them both outside for a couple hrs. 1526595576806462349610.jpg
I've read a lot about the argument between which is best. I will see for myself.
    Stay tuned..

  2. How close do you keep your light

  3. 12" -14" inches depending on the light. They were under a 14w led light bulb for the first week or so. 300w just came in yesterday.

  4. Alright man I'm down please do a good experiment and let us know updates on them.

I would like to know myself if 24hrs has the advantage over 18hrs I think it probably does but his will be good to see.

Can you tell us which one is which in that picture?

  5. The one that is closest to us in the picture with the twisted shaped leaves is going 18/6. The slightly smaller one is going 24/0.
    We shall see.

  6. They have stretched, just transplant them in a deeper pot, and bury them up to the first leaves

  11. Day 14 - May 21st 2018
    Week 3 starts tomorrow.
Germinated another seed for experiment of the finicky OG strain.
The original 6 are doing great, the nitrogen toxic plant has finally began to grow again after stunting it with too much diluted homeade nutes.
Cost still under $47 for total grow.
Anyways the smaller of the plants has been running 18/6 for a few days now... It's becoming obvious for me, or at least with this strain that 24/0 is preferred.
Almost half an inch difference in 3 days. Same in every other way.

  13. I mainly grow scrogged photooeriods. Scrog gives a defined area to fill..i fill that area faster on 24/0 then 18/6. It's not a ton faster if you add up just the hours of light but the dark period adds time to the over all grow. Cannabis is a c3 plant and does not need nor benifit from a dark period.

My autos yeild more in a shorter time running 24/0

  15. Yes, but your scrog plants have a screen to rest on at night when they get sleepy.

  16. That's ridiculous plants do not get sleepy. Even plants I don't scrog I run 24/0. Cannabis is a c3 plant and does not benifit from a dark period in veg. Read up on c3 plants.

  17. Damn killset, you need to school all these people on this notion then. Because everyone seems to think our plants need sleep :vaping:

  18. No they don't, it's pretty common knowledge among experienced educated growers . Anyone who has actually read into it knows. Those who read stoner myths don't know. People need to realize cannabis is not human.its not a notion, cannabis has been proven and categorized as a c3 plant

  19. 1527022270017708236223.jpg IMG_20180522_115441.jpg killset I'd definitely have to agree so far. The 24/0 plant is definitely winning over the 18/6 going into week 3. Had to transplant their sisters. IMG_20180522_115538.jpg
