https://hightimes.com/news/2018-farm-bill-passes-through-congress-will-now-go-to-trumps-desk/ On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate voted 87-13 to pass the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, better known as the Farm Bill. This year’s farm bill also includes far-reaching provisions that lift the ban on hemp, authorize hemp production and research and amend the Controlled Substances Act. And if the House votes to pass the bill and Trump signs it, the U.S. government will have lifted its long-standing prohibition on commercial hemp. This is long overdue and will have a huge impact on agriculture.
One issue with usa hemp..one strain is from Europe about 1770? came in with the early farmers the other came over with the Chinese that laid the Western Railways both are low grade hemp (non drug) low quality rope, that the Govt encouraged the exploration into early plastics that gave us Nylon(New York and London) plastic rope (from the above book by Clarke)
