1st time MJ grow

  1. Hey there fellow growers! I started a few plants outdoors this year and while I am new to mj growin I have been doing horticulture stuff for years. Pretty pleased with the results.

Little info: Started with 5 clones and 2 plants from seeds. Gave 1 clone and one seedling away when they were young, two of the remaining clones ended up male so they were pulled about 2 weeks ago. (unsure of strains, but looks like they are all different) Been growing in full sun, organic nitrogen heavy nutes, and lots of water. Recently planted the plant from seed in ground while the others are going to stay in their pots. Take a look a the pics and any advice welcome. Plant in ground is a little under 2 feet. Small pot is about 2 1/2 feet and big pot is a lil taller than 3ft.

One question I have is that since it looks to be entering flowering stage, I have only been adding nutrients once a week. Is it time to switch to a P heavy nute or is that later in the budding process?

  2. Anyone answer my nute question? When and what for the flower process?

    Switch.

  4. Did you top or fim any of your plants? Also, next time you should try low stress training.

  5. They look really healthy!

  6. Yeah switch to P and K now. Get the N as low as possible for the plants in the ground an 0 N rating would be best for them if your ground has previously been cultivated, there should be enough to keep them going. The potted plants will require a little N
still but not much somthing like a 1:4:4 ratio would be perfect.

Still they look sweet man well done so far!
    Peace

  7. No I didn't do any sorts of training to them. I was kinda just hoping to see some good plants grow without doing much to them this time. I plan to start some indoors for fall and will practice some different techniques.

    Thanks fellas

  8. Sometimes its nice to see a plant grow out naturally especially when you.get that huge fat cola!

  9. I'm really excited to watch the budding process. Such good lookin plants, and I'm getting really excited for mid or end September !!!!

  10. Also what is best PK heavy nute? Do you all buy em or mix them yourselves?

  11. personally as a true gardener (veg and flowers) i mix my own!
Dunno if your in UK, US or elsewhere but here in the UK im using superphosphate by westlands and and Sulphate of potash again by westlands then mix 2tsps per 10l of water.

Most people however buy specialist cannabis nutes for example bio bizz, to pricey for my liking!

    Peace!

    Foxfarm big bloom

  13. I just ordered the fox farms trio off of amazon about 20 minutes ago. From what I've read on here and other places people seem to love this set up for the duration of their grow. Of course you can get more elaborate with organically and stuff if you were to choose but I just have a small closet grow and want it as simple as I can get.

Always great results with fox farm. Just dont go crazy with the nutes, their ocean forest potting soil will be sufficient for at least the 1st month with nothing added. Maybe cut it with perlite.

  15. There is a store about an hour from me that sells the ffof. I'm thinkin about driving up tomorrow and grabbing some. I just have a mix of top soil, perlite, and vermiculite right now.

  16. Posting some update pics that shows some heavy pre-flowering. Also I have a question regarding misting plants. I typically water 1-2 times a day depending on overcast conditions, rain, temps, etc...

I occasionally mist the ladies during their nightly checkup and was curious about something. Would using soda water make any difference to the plants? Some of the stuff it's made with seems like it would be beneficial and considering its normally dirt cheap I was wondering if anyone has tried this.

Carbonated Water, Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt, Potassium Sulfate, Citric Acid

^^^ Seems like stuff the plant would like just not sure of bio-availability to plants.

Let me know what ya think
