1st time grow, lighting question

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by GreenIsACreativeColour, Jul 30, 2013.

  1. This is my 1st attempt at growing, and it's a 1-plant cfl grow in a small closet. Throughout veg it was under a 55w and 2 26w 6400k bulbs. I am now switching to flowering and have the capacity for up to 5 lights, and the bulbs I have are the 2 26w 6400k's, the 55w 6400k and 2 42w 2700k's I just bought.

So my question is, would it be more beneficial to use all of my lights, just the 2700k's, or some kind of combination of a few? Heat is not an issue.

i'd have a combination of lights from now through preflower. once full flowering begins, switch to all 2700k. jm$.02

waiting to switch all of them will help reduce stretch

  3. More light is always better with cfls. Just use all of them.

  4. that isn't an answer to the question he asked. he wasn't asking how many to use. of course he's gonna use as many as he can. he wanted to know whether or not to give it all 2700k or a combination of red and blue spectrum.

    haha stoner moment.

Yeah what you said. Mix it up during veg and preflower then switch to all 2700 for flower.
