Ok i decided 2 move my other thread here and make not really a journal but walk with me thru my 1st grow Setup tha foil tape n a pretty decent size closet for 3 plants grabbin a fan when they break out soild got 2 x 27 w cfls...will grab another to make it 3 1 timer so far..will get 1 eventually for the fan i grabbed some miracle grow organic... i kno i didnt want time releases...and wanted anything that u would grow fruit and vegs in..i can get diff soil if need be mufuckas at homedepot was askin 2 many questions so i switched from a growbox to jus puttin it up n da closet got my own crib...so wont nobody go snoopin in tha bedroom closet.... grabbin lamps 2 put tha bulbs in later once germin is done and they bust open.... Any tips? ill put 1 plant in mG organic and the other in fox farm and see which one works better...figured that would be best way ill hook the timer into the socket and the extensions into the timer with the fan & lights also thinking bout havein 3 plants...with 2 lights per plant total of 6 lights.....@ 27 w 5500k DAYLITES i did my research im going to roll with the Fox Farm all the way found a ff supplier right down the street off the FoxFarm site going to grab some Open Sesame.Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching eventually b4 flowering ok so the 6 lights should help the plant grow....i dont want them 2 grow 2 slow yet i dont wanna raise caution with a high energy bill think ill stick 2 the six and see how they grow then up the ante on lights for Flowering so i can get the biggest buds possible
Yessss....my 2 seedlings finally started showin tails so i drained the soil....put em in 2 pots in the closet ontop of a lil crate i kno i need 2 give them 2 days of darkness b4 i put the cfl's over them this gives me 2 days 2 go get the lamps and other bulbs.... im already addicted....i planted my babys on easter
Sounds like a set up I've had- with the FF and low watt cfls. You'll have good enough lighting for it's veg period. However, when it comes time to flower, in order for you to maintain minimal light usage, you're gonna have to do some major LST and trimming to make sure your lights reach those bud spots- otherwise, your veg period will be fine! yea now that i did all my hw..its less scary and confuseing im gonna have 3 pots 2 lights each right now i only got 2 pots...waitin 4 another seed 2 bust seeing how veg is the easiest part jus keep good light... then ima boss up my lights when flowering starts now i planted both seeds in Mg organic..when i change 2 bigger pots can i switch to the FF?
Yes, fox farm is definitely a superior soil- and it'll make your lady happy that she's growin in some luxury soil
good deal now 2-3 weeks til i add nutes? or jus switch 2 ff and not worry bout nutes since it has ph balanced soil and basically all the nutes i need?....or do i have 2 get additional nutes opposite of the 3 ff nutes for flowering
You're not gonna really need nutes- FF carries ph balanced soil, plus all the good natural enhancements such as Bat Guano, and Worm Castings which are considered your best natural alternative to nutes. You can do some research on BioBizz and see how it'll work with your strain. I am currently running an outdoor LST grow in 2.5 gallon pots with FF, Biobizz, and this BigBud solution whenever I water the ladies. The ladies will be happy in just FF if you don't want to even bother with the solutions though
grabbed 2 clip lamps so i only have 2 pots now... i grabbed 2 x 16 w= 65 w 6500K DAYLITE per Pot There cfl under a solar case looks like a floodlight but it has the cfl coils under the case so im good... is this enough light 4 my seedlings in the pot? i figure this would be enough light 2 have a strong veg and 1 x 27 w 5500k hanging over both plants
the more light the better those lights will be fine for a while of veg but when it begins to flower you will have to have more more more
cooo yea i got it like in a triangle got the 2 pots ontop a crate in the corner of the closet close 2 the reflection i rigged it where i gotta wide base lamp hangin with the 27 w then the clip lamps with the 65 w's directly like an inch over each pot this wont run up the bill much will it havein 2 be on for 24hrs for 2 or 3 weeks?
ok im switchin 2 the 16 w ontop and one 27w over each plant so i will up the watts from 59 to 70 watts not alotta light for 2 plants..but i jus put them in the soil 2day ill up the watts as they grow
Sweeeet found another clip lamp n the crib..so i plugged in my other 16 w cfl so i upped to 86 watts for 2 pots so far
when i left my 3 pots in the bathroom this morning 2 of them were almost peeking out the soil Welll...i come home from work..the 2 have sprouted out 1 of them is bout almost a damn inch long...like it grew over 8 hrs... the other sprout is kind of leaning...im thinking its jus slower.... i put all 3 pots directly on the ledge of the windows 2 suck in them uv's
Took some pix wit my shitty cam phone 1st Pic The Droopy sprout...my dumass accidently knocked it with the light after the pic so it bent over...i piled dirt up on bothsides...i figure in due time it will be ok 2nd PIC Hopefully my Big girl....looks kinda big 4 only a day out the soil 3rd Pic Cant see the sprouts cuz the lights in the way i will be moveing all 3 ontop of something soon once the 3rd sprouts... Remind u both my sprouts popped up while i was at work
came home today and the sprouts grew the big sprout stretched out even more...its tall for only 2 days out the soil the plant the light fell on perked up a lil and got bigger my seedling sprouted...only 2 days in soil....its movein fast 3 plants now....gettin more light and a fan on them after work 2mmorow
bought 3 more 27w Daylites and some Y connectors... thats a total of 4 x 27w and 2 x 26 w makeing 160 w's over the 3 sprouts will be grabbing alot more light soon im goin back 2 home depot and grab the lamp that had like 5 heads on it
