Well I had some bagseeds and was getting tired of scrambling to find the good stuff... or any for that matter so I stumbled across GC I read a bunch of posts and figured why not try.... I started with what I had around the house or found in the trash and it just grew from there. I never thought any of this would work or what I was getting into.... This is how it all started and grew a little... I know... no fan? He used what for a container? and yet I started a few more... because none of this will really work, right? You used what for a reflector? well at least hes checking his temps now and got a few real pots This was the beginning.... I made a bunch of mistakes and did a few things right. The biggest thing I did was a lot of reading posts and tips here on GC.... I didn't use Miracle Grow and got myself some Fox Farms Ocean Forest If your reading this and thinking of giving it a try... spend the time reading and learning and go for it There are a lot of great people here at GC that will help you... but take a look around and do some research, or a few searches, you may just find the answers your looking for; and if you don't someones on here thats got the answer. I've got more pics to post to get up to where I'm at.... and where I'mgoing... but for now Thanks GCers
Here are a few more of their journey This one was nothing but trouble from the beginning.... Never could really figure out why as all the parameters were/are the same as others... My guess is that its a strain thing, this one is a lot more sativa than the rest. Always seems like its got an issue with overferting even at the early stages when it didnt get any... maybe just a little sensitive to the nutes in FFOF So,I figured if this one was going to be this much trouble ( and probably not make it) I'd give LST a try. It always showed signs of nute burn, but still wasn't getting any, always on the older leaves which would get very crispy. Skip forward a bit, must have been a period where I got lazy with the camera And this is just a few days ago... Still has some health issues, but its thrived much better than I could have ever expected.
great recovery man! just take it easy on the food and they'll be fine. It's much easier to give fix underfeeding than overfeeding. GL
Thanks AW Shes just a tricky one... I go real light on the nutes with her I was getting nute burn way before I ever fed anything
These are just some various "garden" pics along the way I then realized that this was going to grow into something a bit more than I imagined. Wow... this might just work So I decided to get a tent... I was going to get a 2x4 but finally decided to go for a 4x4 I figured that the space was going to be needed if I kept having the luck I seemed to fall into I went the "cheap" route, I knew I was going to be spending more on lots of other things down the road, and decided on getting a tent from ebay.... I couldn't be happier. This is the tent I got http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-REFLECTIVE-...2094081QQihZ008QQcategoryZ43555QQcmdZViewItem. Its from California Nursery's, I'm sure they are just a reseller, and it's made better than expected. The only thing that I needed to do was get some velcro to hold the flaps down that cover the zippers... which cost me maybe another $5 and what I've read many of the other tents that cost more than double have issues with light leaks in those areas. There are also some pinhole leaks at some of the stiching, again found in the more $$ tents. Here are some of them in their new home, during the past few weeks
Ok... this one is "Tardo" I never thought it would survive.... and almost gaveup on her many times... the one on the left (the other is what became my LST) the first set of leaves came out and were deformed And as it grew it never seemed right... kinda the runt of the litter It kept growing... but ... she didn't look good It continued on like this for some time and got worse at times... sad and droopy I kept holding off on repotting because I didn't want to waste the soil, I can be a bit of a procrastinator. I finally decided to give her a new home... a little rootbound OK, fast forward... lazy with the camera again
Now this one is the good child.... never really gave me much of a problem And then a transplant into a new home... and another transplant... 5 gal... I have a good feeling about this one WOW, she's really liking that new home and then just a few days ago
Wow. I didn't realize there was so many photos, all on one page. Awesome work. Keep it strong, and always go with the current. edit: I'll be back for more. Right on dude
Hey WWM... thanks With all the help I got on here reading other journals and help along the way from GCers it was time for a little Pay-it-Forward in return. I had taken a bunch of photos, but never posted... I really didn't think I'd have much luck...and it also goes back to that procrastinator in me... which I'm sure will be a common thing in the journal. I've got some "plans" for my tent... always planning, but pulling the trigger is always another thing. I'll research, research and research... and keep putting off the purchase (drives my wife crazy). I dont want to go cheap but don't want to go crazy either. My photos for the most part are up to date... gona add a few more and then keep it current.
These are my two big girls that are in a 2x3.5 closet They are currently under 504w of CFLs.... 8 x 42w 2700k and 4 x 42w 6500k I'm gona have to do some rearranging of things because they now takeup the entire closet. I have plenty of height but they now go edge to edge of the space. The time from first to last pic is about 2 weeks.
Looking nice good to see how your grow evolved along. Looks like your staying very cost effective too.Very good work !!! Cant wait to see finished product.
MMM porn... be it the 2 week kinda thats like the cinamax version right. Looking good cant wait to see em finish
Ah, but I still love em. They have to grow up, sooner or later. I wish to spot them, chopped, and naked to the bud. Awesome Grow Dude.
