Indeed. http://www.cannabisculture.com/backissues/cc11/christ.html I didn't think we would ever agree, Smigs.
I'm pretty sure god has a volcano. Not sure about if its a digital volcano or not, but i know he has at least a regular one.
It's digital, I toked with him last night. We ran out of bud around 2am and he just smiled and turned my cat trippy into a halfbag of Northern lights.
Jesus never used cannabis. That article is full of crap. The term they're claiming is used in Scripture isn't even there. I've looked into it, and have debunked this in a much older thread... If I get some time I'll try to dig it up, or just look up the REAL word that's used, and it's definition (I have a complete Hebrew/Greek dictionary for the OT/NT)... BTW, I'm not a Christian... Just in case you're thinking I'm biased...
The phrase quoted about cannabis in the holy oil isn't in the two Bibles below, I have no idea where it's supposed to come from. Hebrew Bible 22 Moreover the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: 23 'Take thou also unto thee the chief spices, of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty, 24 and of cassia five hundred, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin. 25 And thou shalt make it a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil. King James Bible 22Moreover the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels, 24And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: 25And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. 26And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony MelT
The bolded part is what they are talking about. Apparently that = cannabis. Or so I believe, if I remembering correctly from when I looked into this issue.
No, I know calamus isn't cannabis, I used to use it regularly. It's a kind of woody looking crumbly stuff. Interestingly enough, you can use it as a good carrier for weed instead of tobacco to get a faster high. I just nipped over to Wiki to see what it said: Calamus or Common Sweet Flag (Acorus calamus) is a plant from the Acoraceae family, Acorus genues. It is a tall perennial wetland monocot with scented leaves and rhizomes which have been used medicinally, for its odor, and as a psychotropic drug. It is known by a variety of names, including cinnamon sedge, flagroot, gladdon, myrtle flag, myrtle grass, myrtle sedge, sweet cane, sweet myrtle, sweet root, sweet rush, and sweet sedge. Probably indigenous to India, Acorus calamus is now found across Europe, in southern Russia, northern Asia Minor, southern Siberia, China, Japan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and northern USA. MelT
Not sayin' they're right, just saying that is what some people say... If I am remembering correctly that is. http://www.keyway.ca/htm2004/20040815.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritual_use_of_cannabis#Ancient_Hebraic_use
Some people say that it's referring to cannabis, but I looked up the Hebrew, and it's not even the same word as the article claims they're using... The article says it's the Hebrew word for pot, but when I checked the Hebrew verse, it doesn't have the word they're claiming it does...
If there is a God and God created marijuana... You better believe He not only smokes it, but uses it every way there is possible and also has tried every single strain ever created by man (the beings of the Earth that breed and smoke pot) and as man would be a part of God, so our experiences are His own as well. Our experiences would be His experiences, He is the power behind them so that every time we get high part of God is high- This is only in theory though, assuming an all-powerful God exists and is not a deity. If God was a deity than I'm not sure if He's tried some earth weed yet, I have no idea. I don't know if anything we could have or do would be worth His time right now, considering His involvement as a deity in our world. It's as if we have been left alone as far as Him as a deity is concerned, but I'm being too serious... God has smoked weed, He is weed LOL
Ok... I found the thread... The Article posted by Cannabis Culture (or whatever it was) was claiming that the term used in the OT is: "kaneh-bosm", but when I looked it up in the Hebrew, the only word I found was: "qanah". In Hebrew kaneh-bosm would be written msbhnk (with hebrew letters of-course ), qanah would be written hnq... They're not even close, so you can't say it's a mistranslation...
yeah, on the third day [according to bill hicks imperssonation] he smoked a joint and made possoms. but seriously... god, being all things aledgedly (lest you go for those "gods" in tiny metal space ships), and us being part of all things, being those who "blaze" as you put it... yes, rather obviously. lemme share with ya a poem that has been written in pencil on my 19" monitor for about 7+ years.... God & Marley share a jay, Just to pass the time of day, Bob tells god of his great visions, God takes note and plans revisions. -edit, PS, those in the tiny metal space vessels likely also do too, incase u do worship them. lol.
