Thanks for the answers man, that sounds awesome, I wished I wouldve read this earlier, I have a 12 ft monster outdoor plant, but its already in like 5 weeks of flowering so now I guess its too late to take clones. How does that work with your mother plants, do they grow the clones right back? or can you take a clone off of each growth shoot on each branch? This is amazing.

Also, how do you maintain the mothers, do they just keep growing new branches for clones? I mean how to you contiunously have clones ready to clip if you were to do more rooms for a more quicker steady harvest, and do you add the nutrients after the clone has rooted, or do you add it to help it take root? So pretty much you take the clones, get them rooted in 7-10 days, the place the rockwool in the pot and water and feed and switch right to flowering, holy crap haha.

  2. yep tha's it just as you said, take clones, root em, put it in pot, water with say half strength flower nutes at 12/12. Next time I'll use some bat guano and/or worm castings too to make the mix better.

I've seen posts about taking clones from flowering plants. they take longer to root but then they explode into bud. might not be good to start with though if you haven't cloned yet. Also note that some strains are much more difficult to clone than others. using an aero cloner, i've got roots in 4 days, or sometimes it might take 20+ using rockwool if the temps aren't in the right range (75-85F)

I keep the mothers at 20 hours of light a day, since my clones need as much as they can get in the same room. Every time you clip them, they branch. When you snip the top growth shoot of a branch, any lower shoots will now become new main branches. When they grow a few more leaves there will be enough to clone... if you let that new stuff grow enough, leave at least one lower shoot so that after next cut a branch will continue to grow. I've got one mother plant under half of one of these T5 lights (all 6500K/blue bulbs), and i've cut it enough times that i could probably get over 200 clones in one shot if i needed to.

I soak rockwool cubes in pH adjusted water (5.5-6) with some"Super B+" B vitamin liquid (which is stress relief for the plants). Then shake the excess water out of them, they hold enough till the roots are there. I dip the stems in cloning gel if i'm using rockwool. Clones don't need nutrients until they have roots. they barely need light for the first few days, while they don't have roots. One CFL or a single t5 will be more than enough light for them till they have roots sticking out of the cubes. don't use HID lights yet. Yep so you stick em in a tray with a dome, keeping the humidity near 100% for the first few days, no need for spraying. then after a few days remove the dome a few times a day, until you can keep the dome off.

  3. Thats awesome, when you say the aeorocloner, theres a sticky on here about how to build a clone machine, with the misters in the bucket and all, is that the same thing? I've got the little seed starter kit that comes with the dome and the flat plats that you water and they fold out into a little netted pot, but it says its peatmoss in that little netting, so that would take way to long right? ... I don't want to spend a month waiting on them just to root good, that would defeat the purpose to me..I could veg that long you know?

Anyhow, I'm dying for an update, hows everything going with yours? I'll try and take some good shots tomorrow of my monster power plant I have outdoors, you could search my username and find some of my harvest... but anyhow, I appreciate all your help, I have a much better understanding of the sog, wished I wouldve knew how simple it was before I harvested my diesel and ww

  4. Yep, the sticky about the aeroponic cloning bucket is the same concept as the one I have. I was gonna build one but got an 80 site one for just over 2 bills, so you can't beat that.... it roots much quicker than rockwool, and doesn't actually require anything other than water. It's good to pH adjust and regulate the water temp though. Jiffy pucks is i think what you are talking about. I've read different opinions on them, but they will work too, but some strains will be more fussy than others so I have no idea what will work for you. I even have a particular strain that roots easier in rockwool than in the aerocloner, when usually it's the other way around.

I'd like to check the plants out zq, and i'm glad i'm able to help... here's a great update for you...

    day 49

Started to feed the plants just water.. I have been feeding them continuously with nutrients after the big flush. I read that it is better to do a FEED WATER WATER FEED schedule, rather than nutes every time... makes sense. anyway, when i get these harvested i will have soon have a fresh batch of clones in there that I should be able to grow better with the knowledge gained in this grow. Probably go another couple weeks tops on this grow, unless they are for some reason putting on mad weight without any nutes.

went to check the plants baked and realized my small lens i use to magnify shit with will work up close with my shitty camera... enjoy:smoking:

  6. man those are looking tasty. keep up the good work! good luck

  7. Awesome fluoro grow dude, really awesome.

  8. looks great bro!!!!!! God, im guna be jealous when ur smokin on all these buds!!!! hahaha

  9. I have a new respect for t5's now. Good God that is hot. :hello:

  10. Coming along nicely! Great pics. Great results with that T5... I'm really considering buying one.

  11. for more examples of dank fat buds wit t5s... check the first 20 pages of my journal... its long dead now but those colas were ridiculous!!!!

zebot.... your plants are awesome!!!!! great job reppin the t5s :D You got a green thumb

  12. Thanks a lot for the great posts everyone, it's really encouraging! I've gotta say I'll never regret buying the light... I'm using one for veg also.

OK... so I chopped the plants. And I'm sure some of you might think it was too early, and I might agree, but I have the reasons...

-= I fucked up the pH really bad earlier; the next batch should yield more if done properly, which i plan to. :D but i'm not complaining about the yield. i just want good weed.

-= I fucked up on the nutrients with a lack of understanding toward soil-less mixtures, in this case ProMix. You can treat soil-less mixtures as hydro, i believe. Next time I'll be using worm castings, and more types of nutrients (i'll keep you posted, don't worry). I used ONLY Awesome Blossom 2-11-11, and "B1 plus", but no micro or bloom enhancers for this grow. Since i didn't use much for nutes i could justify snipping them a few days earlier than normal. Plus can you blame me looking at those buds??

-= i needed time to un fuck up a few things in the area, including modifying a flood table tray to hold the pots for easier watering.

-= new clones are fuckin ready, and i can't wait to get next grow on

here's some pics just before harvest, i'm outta time so i'll show the rest of pics of post harvest soon, with weight hopefully soon too

  13. Congrats mate, Looks really nice. Hopefully you plan on curing them with the lights off? I got to harvest one of the plants that I had under my 400w the other one has a few more days but you should pop over to my journal and check her out. Great job with them t5's. Looks like 16 very nice size cola's. Very curious about final dry weight. til next time

    peace

  14. OK. Here's more pics after the harvest. I've got 5.6 oz of some of the highest quality stuff i've ever seen!

That doesn't include the craziest oil that i'm going to make or the buds i already sampled :)

The girls made it to day 51, then I dried it under the lights on two strings (with the lights off, and cover closed). They hung for 3 days (69F, 35%RH), then i let them sit in 2 10x20 hole trays (so capped with another one; roughly lightproof) higher up in my room (80F, 40%RH)a for another couple days. So now I've weighed, put them in zips, and as of a 4 hours ago there is no humidity drops on the bag or fog. Seems to have dried really nice! I'll pop open the bags once every day at least at first for the next week or so and check the awesomeness. Don't have to twist my arm.

So i cleaned up the area, put in my new slightly modified flood tray, and now i've squeezed 21 plants under my light!!!! I now have better nutes, knowledge, and new strains! 9 White Widow, 5 Blueberry, 6 Kush, and 1 amazing bagseed that I already did a outdoor grow with (some type of purple indica).

Don't worry, i'll keep you posted on the next grow! Thanks for watching, and thanks to GC for all the wisdom amongst it's members!
