I'm growing a auto ak and I put it in My flowering tent during the day and at night I put it under 159w 2500k Cfls and I was wondering would it be Cheeper bill wise to put it under my extra 150 w hps
I don't know about the cost, but your going to get better light penetration out of the HPS. Even if it cost a little more (I don't know, the cost difference) but what if you get more bud, with a better light?
The ballasts of HIDs' are not figured into the wattage of the bulbs. With a 150 HPS you are going to be pulling about 205 watts. With the increase in yield you will get from the hps, it will more than outweigh the miniscule cost of electricity.
