I turn to the seasoned tokers on this one because I believe that you might know something about this. A friend of mine saw his friends in Germany (we live in Sweden) make a special kind of roach, and I don't mean american roaches, but the little carton things you use so the J won't burn your hands. The roach appeared to look like a star or something of the sort, and we have tried to recreate such a star-formed roach, but we didn't succeed. I tried googling it, but I didn't find anything useful on the net either, so my question is: Can anyone provide a source or a tutorial on how to make cool kinds of roaches? TL;DR: I want to make cool raoches to put in the end of my joints, tell me how
dude you just fold a piece of thick paper (business cards, index cards, etc) into a shape you desire. It's really not that hard.
I think hes referring to what north americans call filters. I use hemp paper do a design and roll. My fingers dont get burned and I get every last drop. Still love no J's without them tho.
Yeah, S, W and the superroach (or Rocket as I know it) is what I know, too, but I wanna know if someone knows how to make other things, maybe with 2 pieces of carton or something. I don't know, probably one with four or five arms (or whatever these things are called in English).
i can see that being very possible, and if you find out be sure to share how to do it! that would be a cool thing to show off to your friends : )
Try this how to roll filter roach [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGuAudd4FGs&feature=related]How to Roll a Filter / Crutch / Tip for your Joint + Paper and Filter Specifics - YouTube[/ame]
i thought of one way and almost got it to work, i folded a roach a bunch of times, like a w filter with a whole lot more folds. You have to make the folds tiny and very uniform. then you kind of take this accordian you have and put one fold on one end under the last fold on the side with the rest of the filter (super long piece cut from a notecard) and wrap taht wround, i didnt count the folds, but try different numbers, and then you will see what im saying. you put the first fold and kind of fit it in underneath the last one, and you do enough folds to make it a star, then you finish either with another filter around it, or wrap the rest of it around, it's hard to make the star, but make it and then get the filter tight around it and it will stay.
or he might have just left the end of the joint without weed, then rolled an accordian like i said and wrapped it around to make a kind of tube shape like a start and just put it up the end of the joint
