Hi fellow growers. This is my first journal here. I have been an outdoor grow veteran in years past, but this is my first year playing around with an indoor set up. It has been 12 years since my last grow and so much has changed. I have a few autoflower grows under my belt already this season. They have been great at getting me back into the game. I have been following some of you here for a couple months, learning in the shadows. Constructive feedback is always welcome from all. I actually started this grow in the beginning of August, but I've been keeping an offline journal that I will share with you here until we get caught up. So here is what is going on this grow... Growing GHS The Church feminized. Indoor tent, 3'x3'x5'. 400 watt metal halide for veg and 400 watt HPS for flower. Using two different types of pots and testing their performance. 8/11/15 - roots are already wrapping around the bottom of the solo cups. Time to move the girls into their bigger pots. The 5th and last seed to sprout is not doing well. She will not catch up with her sisters. So I will have to dump her. . But for the rest, 'm going to put 2 of the girls into Eco-Grow Pots, and two of the girls into Smart Pots View attachment 1866956 View attachment 1866957
Day 16 since sprouting. Topped all the girls. I think I might have FIMd one of the girls. The big girl off to the side is a Matanuska Thunder Fuck mother that I'm going to flower with these. You will see her pop up in the garden from time to time.
Day 20 So far no difference between the two style of pots. I definitely FIM'd the girl in the back left.
Day 26 A side by side comparison of the two pots. The Eco-Grow pots seem to have taller, slightly less bushy, while the Smart Pots seem more short and stout.
Day 32 since sprouting and day 1 of flowering. Again, you will now start seeing my mother Matanuska in the back flowering along with these Church. I'll give a grow report on that plant in the future. So far not much difference between the two styles of pots. I do have to give the Smart Pots a drink of water about a day ahead of the Eco-Pots.
Day 5 flowering. Ok, now we are all caught up and in real time. I have switched over to the HPS light and started my flowering ferts. And I forgot to mention before. I have been using Cal-Mag in addition to my other base nutrients.
Day 6 Flowering. As you can see the Eco-Grow Pot on the right is slightly larger than the Smart Pot on the left. Top view. Smart Pot on the left. Eco-Grow Pot on the right. And just for fun, my Matanuska Thunder Fuck. As you can see by the bottom leaves, she had some pH issues a couple weeks back.
Day 7 flowering. All girls are showing sex and stretching about an inch a day. We are filling up this grow space quickly.
Day 10 Flower for the Church. Canopy height has pretty much evened out on all the plants. Right now both pots are performing exactly the same. Tops just beginning to form on the Church Good spacing of the nodes Buds beginning to form on the Matanuska
Day 11 Flowering. I gave all these girls an extra day to really dry out the medium and get a good rush of oxygen to the roots. I gave them a thorough watering today and I am continuing with week two flowering nutrients. Eco-Grow Pots Smart Pots
Day 13 flowering Smart Pot Eco-Grow Pot Some stretching between the nodes on the Smart Pots Overhead canopy shot And the Matanuska mommy
