Planning-Need Quick Harvest

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Mountain_Jam420, Jun 30, 2015.

  1. *This will be my first grow journal and the way ill have to grow temporarily is very makeshift. To put it breifly, im growing because i cant afford to use this for medicine otherwise.I have a 2 pack of 65ook cfls being shipped. Will order seeds tomorrow or next, strain is not selected yet and im not sure when ill be ordering other equipment(grow tent, nutes, fans/odor control,etc.). So for germination/early veg stage the setup will be: a few seeds(probably autoflower) sprouting in local organic soil under 2 6500k 100w-replacements.

This is what i need help with: My birthday is early october and i want to have had a smokeable harvest by then. My questions is - What can i do in order to have a harvest before october? Im pretty sure autos will work best for this time crunch. What autoflowering strains are the most reliable and quick? Please provide the link on Attitude. [IMG]

  2. Wappa Autos from Paradise seeds are done right around 63 days from seed, good smoke and decent yielding.

Any way you go, you are going to need at least twice the light to get anything worth your time.

  3. Speed bud by female seed 53 days

  4. Get yourself some Northern lights auto, she is an 8week flowering time so you'll have about a month and a half of good veg time.
I would recommend if you are going to use low wattage CFL...get a lot of them...Jay719 is right.
Go to your local hydroponic store and pick up some sun blaster T5HO CFL lights..at least put two of those in there.

  5. There is no such thing as a "quick harvest" you need time and patience then even after you harvest you need time for a proper cure.

  6. This is totally true!!!

yea this is how it breaks down usually. Germination anywhere from 1-7 days (maybe longer).
(Scenario) autoflower usually harvest around 60-70 days (some may have to go to around 80), then you need 7-10 days for it to dry. After that you need to properly cure it in a jar for at least 3 weeks.
Unless you want to be impatient and smoke so nasty harsh uncured cannabis that will give you a sore throat and a meh high. Nothing in this process is *fast* unless you want trash results.
This is an art form.........its love, its care, its patience. You cant force nature.

P.S if you harvest early, you will mess it up. As all of the chlorophyll will not be able to be cured out of the bud. you will have less yield, and the high will be sub par at best. To many people come to the Beginners thread thinking cannabis is magically grown in 3 weeks. Its not

  9. It depends on genetics and if you obtain seeds that are known and proven to be fast finishers. Example. Jack herer auto take 8 to nine week sof flowering but speed bud takes only 53 day. Not opions just facts. Check strains and find out what works best for your time limitations. You can even give or take a week. Again it is all about genetics.
Supersonic crystal from samara starts flowering after 12 day above ground. ...

    1) stronger lights
Which hasten veg grow and flowering will help a lot.
Don't mean to be negative, but first time grow = uncertainty, unclear, problem solving, stunt growth, Trial and error, impatient, Rush,
, .. All which are common = delays. Read read read. Help a lot.

Your best option may be just purchasing ready stock before ur birthday to avoid disappointment and grow mj at a reasonable pace and enjoy the process, have fun and have a post birthday good time.

    Good luck!

  11. That is not a proven fact of 53 days. Every single plant is different with different results. Every grower is different with what they use. Just cause one person got it to be finished in 53 days, does not mean someone else can do the same with the same results. Especially using CFL's......im a CFL grower......look

  12. I totally agree growing is a art form. Love and care VS. skipping steps mean the difference between Boons Farm VS a bottle of Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon

  13. im def going to buy a few of the supersonic beans, ive read some good testimonies for this strain[IMG]

  14. i was under the misunderstanding that a "100w replacement" means it has 100 w instead of only 23;albeit, i was and still am planning to use these 2 cfls to sprout seeds and buy more lights when i get a chance. Thanks for the advice on lighting but right now my focus is what autoflower strains are reliable and quick. To Autoflower growers- In YOUR experience, what is a strain that can flower early and quick? [IMG]

Btw im going to do a better quality grow if this will be succesfull!

  15. I think you are already heading towards a failed harvest as you have nothing planned ahead
