This is my second grow. I currently have one critical jack auto and one moby dick auto growing. The moby dick auto is only about a week or a week and a half behind the cj auto but it is so much more short and bushy. I've given both plants the exact same conditions so I'm not sure what the problem is.
They are different strains- is one indica dom and one sativa dom? Different strains look different. You're doing fine, both plants look great. Even seeds that are the same can grow different looking plants. I wish you a bountiful harvest!
Yeah I've taken that into account (both seem to be an even split indica/sativa) the moby dick has been flowering for two weeks now with almost no stretch. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Also, the fan leaves seem to be overcrowding the bud areas, but I'm afraid to do much defoliation because of the nature of autos Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Well the cj is going on 2 1/2 foot tall. The moby is only about a week behind and might be 8" tall. The moby has been preflower/flowering for about two weeks Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum Cfl lighting btw. About 230-250 watts Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Not too bad this one was 10-12inches tall One on the left even shorter they yeilded 2.5oz each The one in the middle 3oz But there all the same strain The two short one had real dense buds
What kinda lights? Those are pretty fucking impressive for autos. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Its hard to capture a decent picture of it... But I have like 2-4 really big fan leaves that are tangled (not really tangled, that's just the best way to describe it). I guess they grew out all they are going to because it is the first set of actual branches. Here is a picture of my plant though, the strain is biodiesel mass...
Doesn't look quite as crowded as my moby, but still pretty busy. Preflowers? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Yup. I think I have like 6 or 7 top colas at the moment. Not sure if that is correct terminology, I have 6 top bud sites though, probably more coming to the top. I hope I get at least an oz or two. Listen to Loki though, do whatever he says... I don't post a lot but I do read a lot and when it comes to autos he seems to be the man. What I do is try to adjust the fan leaves so they're not interfering with other parts of my plants. It is hard to do, and actually I think for now on I am just going to leave it as is because they may be in the best position... Im not sure this is just my first grow. If I remember correctly earlier in this thread Loki said something about stretching... As in your plant is gonna grow a lot in the near future. I would just leave it be unless someone with a lot of experience with autos chimes in. Also just a tip when replying to someone quote them and it will notify them that you have done so and you'll get a quicker reply, also if you don't they may not even know you replied! Here is another picture. It is hard to tell really how bushy it is with pictures. With my own eyes instead of a camera lens I can barely see through it, but this is what it looks like in a picture.
Did you top or FIM it? Because I've heard that is pretty ill-advised for autoflowers. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Only training is lst I use led but ive used hps too 2 weeks later finished Short autos dont mean alot mostv Will stay short other factors come into play like medium(soil/hydro) What nutes and when did you start using them Rh Temps Water cycle all these can affect autos
I'm using GH's line of nutes. Fox farm OF, started low strength feeds about three weeks in. Flushed at sign of pre flowers, started bloom feed/pk booster. 230w cfls between two plants. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
At pre flower do not flush you continue to feed nitrogen when she goes into stretch she needs nitrogen so you wait till after even then i never flush my plant i just start using the bloom nute And you used ffof thats pre ferted no good for auto imo you wanna try happy frog next time no nutes Mix that with perlite and ewc and youll have a decent mix to start an auto in.
