I've planted two lowryder #2 seeds and while they're germinating I will put them under my bed in a box with just a light. After a week or two I will put them outside and see just how tough they really are. I'm saving another one for spring as the control variable so I can compare the difference in yield. I don't have high expectations as it is currently snowing, but If I don't do it I'll never know. I'll keep you posted with regular updates. I put them in the soil yesterday after resting in water for 24 hours.
absolutely in! i was thinking bout this kinda experiment myself! good luck , make sure to post some pics
Man temps are too low atm, ok maybe if you use a mini greenhouse.. but hours of light atm is 8/9hrs good luck anyway bro
Thanks for the support and you're more than likely right and they won't work, but I got the seeds pretty cheap and I've got more for hotter weather so it's all good.
I have to agree and say it is pointless to start any grow outside in the UK just look at the temps hours of light. It will just start flowering and be a waste of a plant which could be something special if planted at the right time.
and.... its friggin snowing been snowing for 2wks haha -11 in countryside and an average of 0'c - 0.2'c throughout the day for a week
You really had my attention until you said it is snowing outside still. I don't think even a Reduralis plant can survive those temps. I'm still down to watch you try, but I think you would have had better luck with this experiment if you tried it is march, or even February. I tried putting out some plants in February last season and only one survived till harvest. And it wasn't a big yield. But it was cool to see exactly how much my plants could handle.
I'm starting in March 1st with the bagseeds from germination to mini greenhouse in small pots for 3/4wks. Should keep cold out and frost/rain pests. Good % for me
Yeah it is too early so I'm not expecting much but hopefully I'll keep them inside until February and if luck's on my side it will of warmed up by then and we'll have an early summer. I live up north in the country side and there has been lots and lots of snow. I put them in the pots the day before it started here thinking it was getting warmer, how wrong was I.
Im planning on (if my Strawberry Diesal) bagseed doesn't turn out to be a hermie as it came from a hermie plant taking clones keeping them in veg whilst flowering the main Straw D to see the sex etc. Fingers crossed it's female and I'll be having an all outdoor grow this year. Can't fucking wait!!
Cool you wanna come by my thread the epic uk journey gonna be a blast so many peeps.. will be a mad 6/7months i got like 17bagseeds from Shiva skunk to Northernlights and i think the batch were Hermied but not that much only 1/3seeds per oz I can't wait for March to come
