1st try with Organic Soil

  1. Hey GC
This will be my first try at a soil organic grow (as stated in the title LOL). Starting two plants from seed but only keeping one. They are Auto AK and Pineapple Express, both from G13 Labs. I will be keeping the Pineapple Express. When I post this, they will have already been sprouted for a week or so. The AK did sprout 2 or 3 days after the Pineapple Express to explain the difference in size.

Well I hope to keep a weekly update on the status of my girl(s) but for now, here is a brief rundown on what I got going on here.

Gonna be growing in a 2'x2.5'x8' tent from Gorilla Grow Tents, which is f-ing amazing. Using a 4'' fan w/ filter. An Isis-FX1 180 LED, the little brother to the Magnum 357 LED and made by the same company. And Roots Organic Original for my base soil and then I'll be using Subcool's super soil mix for flowering but I added neem cake to the mix so I don't have to mess w/ foliar feeding the neem oil. I actually wana try a foliar called CalCarb from Xtreme Gardening. It's supposed to help the plant process more CO2.

I'll get more specific if u need. Just ask.

    Untill then...here is my setup.

  2. One of my favorite features of the tent is the windows that you can open to look through and check on your babies :)

  3. Welcome to the club. Purrrty grow, what did the tent cost you? Hoping to get a 2x2 for vegging after the current grow switches to 12/12

  4. It cost about 280. Google gorilla grow tents and u should find it no problem. On their official website, it says u can even have a custom size made if needed

  5. Looks good, glad to see you growing again! Any reason you aren't keeping both the plants, or why you didn't run them separately?

  6. Gonna give one to a friend who wants to try an outdoor grow. He just wanted me to start it.

  7. oh, very cool. At least she isn't going to waste :smoke:

  8. Looking good already.

  9. Love LEDs.

    I'm subbed.

  10. Well here is the first update

So far so good. Not familiar w/ autos and if they grow slower and/or shorter. But that pineapple express has exploded :)

Its been consistant on the waterings so far, every 5 days for now. I have a feeling that's gonna change soon seeing how big they're getting. (Commen sense I guess LOL.)

Enough talk, here is the eye candy w/ a little holiday bonus :smoke:

R u experienced w/ LEDs? This is only my second go with them. What's ur opinion on the mixed spectrum for flowering? (I know its a while away but thought I'd ask anyways)

  12. Nah, I'm as green as they come with LEDs man.

I love the way you can switch from veg to flower with one button though.

Where did you order your light?

  13. Found it on sale online before they discontinued it. From the Magnum 357 website.

  14. you know im subbed

  15. Update time.
Things are starting to get moving. Both are starting to grow pretty fast. The first leaves are starting to yellow n die but I think that's normall for this stage. The rest of the leaves look fine to me but are kinda big and crowded. I don't wana trim them cuz I wana c how a plant grows if u let it do its own thing.

  16. LOL, forgot the pics. 420

    What's "litfa"?

  19. Leave it the fuck alone. Lol

  20. LOL, sounds good to me. I'm only trimming dead leaves when they r yellow n wilted. So far it was only the first leaf set with the sinble blade.

On a side note, this Auto AK that I have is really growing quick. Already showing signs of flowering and stretching so I put my LEDs on full spectrum and I'm going to transplant it at the end of the week into the supersoil mix.

Pineapple Express is getting hella bushy though. Trying to tuck those big fan leaves so the flower sites can get more light :)
