All the old school growers mention the ratio of red to white hairs. The green dude on youtube harvests' his white widow at 50/50 red hairs. I have read countless time of harvesting at something like 75% as well. After i've had a couple plants of my own, i'm starting to think that it is never a good idea to harvest at 50% of hairs turning. Every plant that i've had at 50% was not ready. I would say that if your just looking at hairs, 90-100% red hairs is more appropriate. What do y'all think?
I usually wait until all red hairs. When I scope at 50% they're mostly all clear still. At 100% I get ambers popping up.
Also i want to know if anyone has experienced this. I had a Flo plant and she was flowering. I fucked up the nutrients and messed her up. When mostly all the hairs were still white (about 6-7 weeks into flowering), the trichs were cloudy turning amber. What im getting at is that hairs don't tell you when to harvest.
