Sativa Sea of Green

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by ac3adt, Oct 14, 2011.

  1. Hey guys, i am currently on my 2nd grow and things are going great. Both times i have grown a indica dominant strain and topped it and kept it short and bushy, but next i want to try a sativa dominant strain. Now i know indicas are generally short and fat, while sativas are tall and skinny so i was thinking about doing a sea of green for my next grow so i could throw maybe 3-4 tall & skinny sativas in there rather than just 1 short & fat indica. My grow space is 24"x22"x45".. how many plants could i fit in there if i was going to do a SOG?

    Thanks!

  2. ... Also, would the yeild be comparable? I got a little over an oz from my first grow, and i was hoping for about 1.5 on this next one. I know it depends on the strain and whatnot, but would the SOG yeild similar to the single plant?

  3. get square pots to help fit more in one space. then its all dependent on how big your plant will get befor harvest. use the smallest pot possible without hurting it with too much root bounding.

remember SoG is quality > quantity :D just in case you were looking for one good haul :)

  4. Sorry for blowing up my own thread, but one last question... Can anyone recommend a good sativa dominant strain that would be good for this? I was thinking something like 'Barneys Farm G13 Haze'.

  5. Bump. How many plants could I fit in that area? I don't have any experience with sativas so I am deferring to you guys? Could I contain 3 mature sativas in that small space?

heard great things about this one. don't know how many you could fit.... start with a lot and take some out if you have to.

    Barneys Farm Tangerine Dream Feminized

The exceptional crossing of G13 with Neville’s A5 Haze – with the resulting plant again crossed with G13 – Tangerine Dream is sativa-dominant strain offering tangy, intense sweet citrus aromas and flavors as well as effects that are at once cerebral and relaxing. The best of both worlds for smokers and growers. Considering its attributes, Tangerine Dream’s 70-day flowering time is remarkably short, and the one-meter high plants, with their strong and numerous side branches, yield an impressive minimum of 500 grams per square meter. Colas grow large and tight, especially for a sativa-dominant strain, and are flecked with red and orange hairs and frosted with a shimmering layer of fine THC crystals. A taste sensation offering clean and long lasting effects.

Tangerine Dream evokes a citrus fruit fantasy and, somehow, an even more enchanting reality. How one strain can offer some many seemingly contrasting attributes is a shining example of how Barney’s Farm is a leading force in advancing genetics and husbandry.

This innovative, Sativa-dominant strain starts with the legendary G13 plant, known for it’s intense flavors and strong effects, which is crossed with the unusually refined and exotic Neville’s A-5 Haze. The resulting plant is again crossed with G13.

The aesthetic total, however, far exceeds the sum of its genetic parts, as Tangerine Dream offers the visceral sensations of tearing into fresh citrus: a spray of essential oils from the peel with its complex and pleasant bitterness; deep, pungent aromas fill the air, and then, the concentrated, tangy sweet flavor of fruit and juice on the tongue. An experience both refreshing and intense.

The large, tight colas – unusually firm and substantial for a sativa-dominant strain – are flecked with orange and red hairs, and frosted with a shimmering layer of THC crystals. A focused, fruit scent, accented with a whisper of earthy, herbal notes, is obvious even before Tangerine Dream is lit. The smoke offers an even more concentrated citrus fragrance, and zippy sweet flavors that linger on the tongue. These sensations are an excellent introduction to the high that follows: the happy, cerebral energy of sativa layering over just the right amount of indica relaxation.

Growers, too, benefit from a joyful paradox: the flowering time of 70 days is very brief for a sativa-dominant plant, and the yields, of at least 500 grams per square meter, are exceptionally high. Plants grow to a height of about one meter, with strong and substantial side braches able to support their big, dense flowers. With minimum THC levels of 25% and CBD at 1.8%, Tangerine Dream truly lives up to its name, and Barney’s Farm has made it real.

  7. here's another

    Female Seeds C99

The C'99 is the holy grail of the cannabis strains. As she resembles the high and the taste of an exceptional sweet landrace sativa, which normally takes half a year to flower. But the C99 flowers in 7 - 8 weeks. On top of that the buds are quite sugared.
This new batch is a cross of two exceptional basic pheno types, the Grapefruit and the Pineapple. Both derived from the original Brothers Grimm C99
It matures in 4 weeks from seed, which is much faster than the original C99. (6 - 8 weeks)
    One not to miss!

Available in 4 and 10 female cannabis seeds

i found both on attitude seeds

  8. Awesome, thanks man!

That tangerine dream sounds amazing! I had the worst cotton mouth ever, but my mouth started watering as i was reading that description.
