  1. Couldn't get a mod to move my other thread so I made one in the right place.
Blue Planet Nutrients was kind enough to send out some nutrients and is going to give me enough to finish the grow.
first grow, 3 Mystery seeds ( could be White Widow, Northern Lights, or Big Bud )
    the biggest being Sensi Kush

    4 Gallon DWC
5 42w daylight CFLs ( yeah I know I'm lacking on the lights only because they are expensive as hell! )

plan on getting a 3x3 grow tent when I get a job.
started on August 7. ( they didn't all germ at the same time and had one seed that didn't germ at all )
August 15th Water change and fresh nutes added

  6. Looks like a little bit of stretch but they look good!

How close is your light? Temps with them on? Got a pic of your light setup?

  7. Sweet! Yeah I think the stretching occured before I got the 42 w lights, when I had 2 26w CFLs. It's between 3-4 inches away. Temps are 70-75 in the room and 80-85 on top of the reservoir 50% humidity. this is with a fan blowing directly toward the set up on low. about 6 feet away. Yeah, in the first post under August 18th.

  8. Cool sounds good man! Its amazing how fast they grow :)

  9. it really is an amazing plant. the 4 leaves that are just coming in grew over half an inch over night.

  10. Changed the water today. having a problem with algae. Gonna try to rig something together like you have over the top of your netpots smokin. I guess I'm having light leaks. also changed nutrients according to vegetative measurements.

What are your water temps? The bags I got seem to be working btw. No light and cold water keep algae away

  12. Gotta pick up a water temp meter before i can tell you that. What bags? I guess ill have to keep a few frozen water bottles to keep in there but it should be room temp right? I went an got a airbrick because the one that came with my kit broke.

Hydro shop should have a thermometer cheap, like $3.00.

I used the thick expensive hefty bags and double bagged them

I keep my water temps in the low 70s to the high 60s with frozen bottles

Problem is hydro store is an hour away. Tried to buy ph kit from there and the shipping was $13 lol! Everything i have had to order it online. You used bags instead of waterbottles? I gotta figure out what to do with the light leaks.

    August 21st 7:30 PM
Rigged it up for no light ( hopefully )

Hard to show cuz my camera is kinda shitty but ill explain.

Take one big black trash bag and open it up and stuff another bag inside. Cut a hole in the bottom for the net pots then cover the buckets with the bags like a pillowcase...make sense?

You are in a tote though right? Might have to get a little creative but if you wanna use the bags it is cheap and seems to work well.

  19. I understand what you're saying now. I was thinking Glad bags lol. yeah I'm using a tote. you can see how I fixed it 'cause I edited my post with pictures. Stole an idea, hoping that will work fine. I think they are loving the extra light.

  20. hmm, looking at the box for my lights today and the data on it says each light is 2800 lumens. times that by 5 and you get 14,000 lumens. the sun outputs 10,000 lumens per square foot on a clear summer day. does this mean I have adequate lighting for my 4 gallon reservoir?
