Smoking and Diabetes

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Aaron Getang, Jul 28, 2011.

  1. I know mostly everyone on this site has at least heard of crazy shit happening to people with low blood pressure when they smoke, in fact I've seen it first hand. Couple years ago I was smoking with this one girl who didn't eat anything all day and we were smoking out of old bowl..( I miss that bowl R.I.P.) anyways after smoking she all of a sudden just passed the fuck out. Then got back up, wouldn't believe she passed out and fainted again. She did this about four to five times crying in between til I got food for her. Scary shit. But thats worse case scenario because other situations people have low blood pressure they just get ridiculously high. So back to the point of this thread. My brother who has never smoked before has diabetes. So I was wondering if I finally get him to smoke one time and his sugars low would he seriously get "too high" for his first time? I want him to like it but the diabetes part is weird. Any blades with diabetes?

  2. you might wanna try the medical marijuana forum or do a search for diabetes.

Just make sure he checks his blood sugar before he smokes - it can be hard to tell if your sugar goes low while you're high. Other than that, nothing really to worry about.

[EDIT] This is coming from experience, I've got the 'beetis lol [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILIvPzyK_8I"]'beetis[/ame]

EDIT: But seriously, I don't think it should be too much of a problem. Just make sure he's well hydrated, etc. And try to avoid the same conditions that caused the blackout.

  6. I took a monster rip held it in for 5secs stood up exhaled and almost passed out but for those 10secs I was... Beyond high... But it only lasts a few seconds, thank god I handed the bong off

  8. I've actually got diabetes type 1 myself, got it when i was 10 so I've had it for a while and I am actually able to smoke without too much problems, i think the smoke does lower your blood sugar, but be prepared with muchies, and then it makes them even better :smoke:

  9. i remember once i took a single enormous rip from a bubbler and coughed for five straight minutes. i thought i was going to die from not being able to breathe (not literally). was high for five hours afterwards :bongin:

  10. Yep, that happened to me too...took a monster hit that hurt like fuck...and go t really high

  11. i have diabetes, and ive been smoking for about a year now. make sure that he always has something with sugars or carbs on his when smoking, because marijuana does tend to lower your blood sugar
