  1. I was listening to Atmosphere just now.

So i think everyone should post there favorite line from a song.

"I will show you all you need to know
You must hold on to anyone that wants you
And I will love you through simple and the struggle
But girl you gotta understand the modern man must hustle"

    (Modern Man's Hustle by Atmosphere)

    (Any artist, not just Atmosphere)

  2. "i'd swim through a million quagmires to suck the last cock of whatever just fucked you" - the last bastion of heaven lies abandoned and burning - the ghost of a thousand

    makes me lol every time

  3. We Shall Be Free

This ain't comin' from no prophet
    Just an ordinary man
When I close my eyes I see
The way this world shall be
When we all walk hand in hand

When the last child cries for a crust of bread
When the last man dies for just words that he said
When there's shelter over the poorest head
    We shall be free

When the last thing we notice is the color of skin
And the first thing we look for is the beauty within
When the skies and the oceans are clean again
    Then we shall be free

    We shall be free
    We shall be free
    Stand straight, walk proud
    'Cause we shall be free
When we're free to love anyone we choose

When this world's big enough for all different views
When we all can worship from our own kind of pew
    Then we shall be free
    We shall be free

    We shall be free
    Have a little faith
    Hold out
    'Cause we shall be free

And when money talks for the very last time
And nobody walks a step behind
When there's only one race and that's mankind
    Then we shall be free

    We shall be free
    We shall be free
Stand straight, walk proud, have a little faith, hold out
    We shall be free

    We shall be free
    We shall be free
Stand straight, have a little faith

    We shall be free

Dog Fashion Disco - The Acid Memoirs

In my youth I took a trip,
    My first initial acid trip,
And then it hit me like a ton of bricks,
    My eyes they quickly dilated,
I began hallucinating at the tender age of seventeen,

As I watched the TV my dogs speaking to me,
    Telling me I'm going insane,

    I recall a scene it's Halloween,
And I am dressed as a drag queen,
Peaking to the point of no return,
I met a man, I shook his hand,
He spoke I could not understand,
He was covered in flies and afterbirth,

    The mandrills were singing,
    The bees they were stinging,
As pink flamingos laid dead on the ground,

I am the witness, I am Mohammed, I am the elephant man,
These are strange days beautifully chaotic,
    In a burning metropolis,

    Tuning in and dropping out,
    Dancing Buddha's twist and shout,
    Buddhatomic Christ is love,
    Who resurrects the flower head,
    Cherishing the subtleties,
    Illusion is reality,
    Swimming the electric ocean,
Souls at rest were set in motion,

    Martian perform autopsies,
    On cattle anal cavities,
    Frontal lobe lobotomies,
    Electric shocking chimpanzees,
This cause of sorrow is desire,
    Ego fuels the selfish fire,
    Illusion is reality,
    Quantum synchronicity,

    Mandrills were singing,
    The bees they were stinging,
As pink flamingos laid dead on the ground,
Visions so clearly of Timothy Leary,
    The godfather of the movement.

I am the witness, I am Mohammed, I am the elephant man,
These are strange days beautifully chaotic,
    In a burning metropolis.

  5. I could fill an entire page with various Rush lyrics, but I will leave it at the two that move the most.

"If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice." Freewill (Permanent Waves, 1980)

"Some are born to move the world, to live their fantasies, but most of us just dream about the things we'd like to be. Sadder still to watch it die than never to have known it. For you, the blind who once could see, the bell tolls for thee." - Losing It (Signals, 1982)

  6. maxine nightingale - right back where we started from

"Ooo and it's alright and it's comin' 'long
We got to get right back to where we started from
Love is good, love can be strong
We got to get right back to where we started from"

its not really about what is said, but more how it is portrayed. the song repeats the same couple of verses over and over. but as all great music does it gets under your skin and allows you to relate it to you own life and it does it in a upbeat way. one of the reasons the time this type of music was made was the best times i only wish i lived during that era.

  7. BMTH- Crucify Me

"If we make it through the night, if I make it out alive.
Lord have mercy and pray for the dead.
You say that you can save me, don't hope to ever find me.
I fear I'm too far gone.
    Pray for the dead."

  8. "yo, I'll pull your way out of your regular state
increase metabolism to a post-cellular rate
and as you break your self down internally
I write in my journal see thoughts that'll remain eternally
paragraphs that'll last through the mega blast
chemical warfare and even the aftermath"
