  4. Time = the week you are on, so if your plant is 4 weeks old you would choose the column titled 4, if your plant is just germinated/very young you'd choose the seedlings/cuttings column.

Now that you've chosen a column based on the age of your plant, you follow that column to see the recommendation for hours of light to give your plant.

Below that are the nutrient EC/PPM ranges you should be aiming for after it has been mixed into 1 gallon of water. You need a meter to get readings for this.

The rest of the chart deals with how much nutrient to put into your 1 gallon of water. So at week 1 they want you to use 6 tsp of big bloom in 1 gallon of water, and they want you to feed that much twice a week.

My comment: They always ask you to use too much food IMHO, it often results in nute burn. Most people recommend using half strength (half the recommended dose) nutrients, but some plants like a little more than that, it's all part of the process of learning how to grow.

Hope that helps you out :)

Autos usually have an 8 week life cycle rather than the 12 week cycle show on that chart. I started using big bloom after week 1 at 1/2 strength, added grow big at week 3 at 1/2 strength. Mine started flowering at around the end of week 4. At that point I stopped using grow big and started using tiger bloom at 1/2 strength.
