  1. Hi,

I'm looking for some help with using hps in my limited space...

I have two plants currently growing, germ'd two ak-48 auto's last week and have had them under a pair of maxibright 150w cfl's @ 6500k. 24/0 first two days to 20/4 for the entirity of the grow.

I am planning on keeping this set up until the weekend and then im intending to replace with a 150w or a 250w hps.

    I have 127cm H x 86cm W x 52cm, roughly 5.5ft sq or 0.5m sq.

I have a stationary fan on the cfls at present, with an oscillating fan and 110cfm worth of extraction. The temperature rarely goes over 77 farenheight.

My basic question is will i be able to use either of these lights in this small space.

I was hoping originally on just going a 150w without getting info first, but as 150w hps seem to be hard to find where i am i had thought about 250w as they are cheap as chips. I have found a 150w mH / Hps ballast, already have reflector just need bulb so now iv got either option. Buy 250w or make 150w and which will be safest and most productive while keeping risk factors like fire, heat damage to plants etc to a minimum.

Thanks for any help in advance...

    Peace
