My first Cannabutter/Cooking Experience(with pics)

  1. The other day i was sitting around wondering what goal i should tackle next on my weed related things to do list and decided making cannabutter and baking some cookies needed to be done :).

    Here's the documentation of the whole process! enjoy.

    step 1: Grind up all your buddah (i used about 13g's)

    step 2: In about 2 cups of boiling water, melt in a stick of butter per quarter ounce of bud. (so in my case, 2 sticks)

    step 3: Let the butter melt on medium heat and then turn it to low heat and add in the ganga. let this summer for 2:30-3 hours. mine turned out looking really dark green like this...

    step 4: Strain the bud out of the mixture by placing a cheesecloth over a tupperware container and pouring it over.

    Step 5: you are supposed to let the water and the butter separate by keeping it in the fridge over night, but i was rushed for time and had to alternate between the freezer and the fridge. (in total, about 1 hour in the freezer, and 45 minutes in the fridge seemed to work fine)

    Step 6: poke a hole in the corner of the butter and let all the water drain out from under it.

    (sorry for no pics on 5 and 6 i got too high and forgot)

    step 7: use any cookie recipe and substitute in our cannabutter anytime it says butter. i made mine a little more potent with some extra butter.

    step 7: bake for 12-14 minutes on 350 F or until golden brown and enjoy!
