Nettles and Nettle Tea

  1. With Nettle teas leftovers, think spinich looking wet squishy leaves in a bucket of interesting smelling three day old lightly bubbled nettle tea; would i want to add any of the leaves themsleves to a plant (shreaded up) or would it be more sane to just chuck them into my compost pile?...which has some already from summer. Anybody think it would be unwise to put densly organic material such as the left over leaves into a growing root system because of the ammonia issues?

  2. I would just compost them.

If you already brewed the nettle tea, then you got all of the immediate properties from it. Composting will take care of the rest for your next grow :)

  3. Ok, I will do that. I wonder if the tea really takes all the good stuff out of the leaves... I'll just compost it. Use it again later so to speak.

  4. It may not take every bit of the good stuff out but at least you will have anything left over by composting it :)
