Curing properly usually involves opening the container once in awhile and tossing/stirring the buds so curing for too long can overdry and/or break off too much shake. Aside from that, most smokers prefer fresher stuff and longer curing equals older buds.
Should last a good year or, more in mason jars.... You can add a apple peel, orange peel, or a lemon peel, small moist sponge etcl to the jar of buds and burp everyday. This will moisten up the buds some and will be less harsh to smoke...
