  1. Hi all, coming upto 5 weeks flower this Friday.

I'm doing 3 northern lights and 1 Blueberry.

My NL are going fine fine fine, one being a little runtish but still fine.

My Blueberry is causing me concerns, I have a lot of swollen Calyxs with amber hairs and one or two with no hairs.

I have no sign of male flowers, but I'm a little concerned by these swellings.

can you fine fellows please check these pics and see what you think.

    cheers

  2. Those calyxes do look unusually large. Hard to say if they're seeded or just swelling with goodness. :p Have you tried picking one of the calyxes to see? Gotta watch out for the tiny male flowers that can pop up inside each bud, or them little guys that will grow at the bottom. It's a slight let-down that you don't have sensimilla until you realize that you just made your own strain. ;)

  3. I gotta bump this thread.

I am 4-6 weeks from harvest on my first grow. I have just noticed the same exact little pods on my plants, especially on the bottom branches. I've looked at a ton of pics online searching for my issue, and these win the prize, my flowers look just like these, mostly the smaller buds on the lower branches.

Tonight I popped one of the pods off and dissected it, no seeds. Just some rather disturbing zit-like gunk.

If the OP is around I would be really interested in hearing how this grow turned out. Any other advice is most welcome as well.

  4. Hey Ford escort. How did it turn out. I'm in the same boat as you , lower bud swollen calyxes. Lots of grows under my belt without a single hermie b4 so it has my stumpt.

  5. If those have gotten any stress from Light loss, or too much light, Make sure you don't have a issue, Like I did one time, what happened it my lights were turning off by themselves and back on again, If i weren't out in my room working I would of never noticed the lights were shutting down and coming back on, I was using a cheaper ballast then, I have now switched to Phantom still have one Galaxy seems to be okay but the other two were cheap ones and doing that causing my ladies to turn hermi. by what I am seeing if all those pics sure looks that way,
Now what I did was so I didn't lose some halfway decent herb, was to change my ballasts first of all then I it took awhile, but I picked every freaking nana or Flower I could find, do this every single day, don't miss any take your time and if you don't have the time for that you may want to take her down. Watch for the little yellow or white flowers it only takes a tiny bit to spread pollen throughout your system. just pull off some of those calax and see if you have a seed. the person who posted above has seeds that is what the zit like gunk in there. (baby seed)
Good Luck I sure hope you get them lovely ladies fixed up enough to produce at least something for you.....
