So do you snow and ed think that plants in coco in containers on a flood table flooded 2-3 times a day for 3-5 minutes each about an inch and a half up the pots. Do you think that will successfully bottom feed the plants properly and do you think the coco could wick up the solution to be benificial enough to the plant? If so there should be good growth with those in a flood table setup....

Heres a pic of what I am thinking...

  5. Alatar - beautiful porn man! Gorgeous!

SoCal - I think your flood table wick system would work well, I think you only need to run once a day but I'm sure you'll figure out the best schedule once you start running it.

When I have a tray of plants - like clones or mothers - I usually wick feed them for convenience, I'll pour the juice into the tray and they only need a couple of minutes really. I really like this method and use it when we go out of town LOL.

I've seen two flood table coco setups, one was using coco blocks and cycling twice daily, the other was using fiber coir in pots and cycling every other day. Both were having great success, the fiber coir pots seemed to be a little more happy (more room for roots I imagine). Seems like I saw another one here too, I'll see if I can find the link to it.

Either way, good luck man, please keep us posted on your progress!

  6. So you think if I flood an inch and a half up the pot for 5 mins a day that would be enough????

Right now lights are onfrom 6pm to 6am. I have it flood at noon for 3 mins, 8 oclock pm for 4mins, and 4am it floods for 3 mins when lights are off...When lights come on at 6pm I will see the progress of the first day with 3 floods then adjust accordingly...

Thanks for advice and feedback ed I greatly appreciate it...

I think that'd be plenty myself (once a day, 5 minutes), others may have differing opinions on it of course. Personally I don't think it needs daily flooding even, but it doesn't hurt anything. Check the pots just before your flood cycle as much as you can, you'll be able to tell how much they need with a simple lift of the pot. As they flower and the root system grows they'll use a lot more water so it's possible that daily won't be enough before too long. I normally wick feed a 3 gallon in about 3 minutes no matter how dry or wet it is, coco is pretty damn fast.

  8. Yeah that room you actually see in pic is budd room so they were put to 12/12 yesterday so they shud start takin off. However I dd give them a small dose of BushMaster to see what it will do with these sativas...I was thinking of doing a screen over this 3x3 flood table and training these...

I am anxious or 6pm when I can go in there I want to see how they are after first full day. They have gotton 3 floods of only a few mins so we will see how they look and how wet the coco is...Then I will determine if I shoud downgrade # of floods...

  9. I run the same light cycle LOL (6p - 6a on) Coco and a screen would be sweet! Have fun with the sativas man, I love them myself...

  10. That is a pretty sight, isn't it? It looks even better at 1280x1024. :D

  11. Here I am at 37 days into veg from breaking surface. I just finished transplanting into 3 gallon SmartPots and installed the 1000w MH system with the CoolSun 6". Today was a little warm (hit 81), and the room temp crept up to 83, so the Shark's Breath is a little pissed off at me for all that after spending the last 3 weeks under 76.

  12. Very nice looking assortment of girls you have there Snow! All are looking the picture of health. Coco just makes ya look good! :hello:

I wanted to share an updated pic of my little Jenna Boo (pictured earlier in this thread at transplant). Coco is really what saved her life. She did not root in the cloner so she was resnipped at the bottom and stuck in some coco to root. Sure enough she rooted and has flourished in an all organic coco mix. A big thank you to Ed for always having the camera eye. :D

  13. That is a cool pic MrsEd. I love that angle, nice sea of buds. SCROG is definitely on the list of things to try.

  14. Aw, why thank you. Super Profundo on the early eve of your day.

I'd like to thank the little people. A big shout out to Botanicare CocoGro compressed coco with the low salt content and no need to flush. And to their Organicare line: Huvega is a life saver. And let me not forget Canna Coco A&B. Without them I'd still be crying myself to sleep.

I'm running a non-skyentific exercise testing LST VS Fimming VS Au Natural.

Oh, and this morning my kitten took a bite out of two of my Saw Blade Lemon Skunks. I'm going down to home depot today to get a screen door to keep that little bastard out. Apparently beating the shit out of an 8 month old cat doesn't make me a bigger man... I'm getting a dog next time.

  15. Hey Mrs. Is that that plastic string to make keychains and beads to make the spacing??? Thats a great idea...

And is week one of flowering too late to start a scrog???

  16. You are correct on the string and beads. The beads hold the crosslacing in place yet you can move it a bit if you need to. :D

This is my first ScrOG so can't really say for sure on putting the screen in for ya but looking at your pics they do look like they would take a screen to me if you get it in there quick. Post a picture in the Show Your ScrOG thread and all those guys over there might help you out to decide for sure though.

  17. too funny about the cat..Snow Crash....in a sad sorta way...grow catnip to lure it away..lol...dogs are no better...my 4...the security team..went after a lizard or snake monday and riverdanced one of my outside gals into submission....she's in the big grow tent in the sky now

  19. Snow Crash, I like those circular, screen-like, lattice-ish contraptions you have mounted just above the tops of those plants. What do you call those things?

You know, I just read that Stephenson novel about 6 months ago. It was a really good read.
