Left Coast Glass

Nice pickup dude. They're def. great for the price. Just be careful with the beaker bottom. My friend had a 5mm beaker just like you and the bottom broke from a bump on a table.

 

Bro, I got a left coast like that and I've dinged the fucker on just about everything, everytime I toke. And she's still standin strong. The beaker seems a bit un sturdy but its taken its bumps pretty well, the tube itself and shit is great as long as you don't like shit rocks on it at a high speed.

Though the fuckin lil shit where the downstem goes into, the tip of that shit chipped like the first week I got it, but it's really minimal and you can barely notice it, and doesn't do anything wrong.

I just got the left coast a/c for it too, and I gotta say, that + the ice notches, god it hits beast. Can't compare it to anything else though...but from what I can tell the drag isn't gonna kill ya, it's pretty sweet.

But I gotta say the blue on it is a very nice touch. I had their logo on my downstem and I guess the water ended up rubbing it off?

I've got the exact same tube as you except green label and 7mm. I LOVE it. I've hit it on so much shit, and it's still like the first day I got her. Me and my friends have named it the left coot, because that's what they thought the label said at first glance. Haha.

EDIT: Also, they look like Illadelph because, according to what I have heard, Left Coast is just some blowers from Illadelph that split off because they didn't like the dude running it or something. The label certainly looks the same, and the logo on the downstem is similar too.

My bro has the left coast straight tube with their a/c, I think the package deal was like $150, I really don't think its possible to get a better setup for the price. The quality is def top notch, and has some really clean welds, no air bubbles etc. Left Coast pipes definitely make great dd's, great quality and if you do end up breaking it your only out a fraction of what you would have lost, sounds like a win to me.

 

First things first, any and all glass pipes / accessories are made of BOROSILICATE, not just roor and illy.

second, my local shop stocks left coast. They are a decent low-mid range tube. They use quality american glass for their tubes, but they use imported trees. Nothing is wrong w/ that, but you do have to remember that the trees are far more fragile than the rest of the tube, especially since they are of inferior glass chemistry.

other than that, left coast is a quality entry level tube. You Girlfriend is awesome!

 

That shit is called the joint and the blemish is called a fleabite. They're very common and occur from ramming glass into the joint. Just thought you should know.

Me too... I do have one on my 18-14 adapter. You see I like the sound ground joints make when they slide in and out. I was doing that high as fuck one day and then looked at the bottom of it to see a fleabite... but no matching scratches on the ROOR.

But yeah, I'm thinking since LC are a breakoff of Illadelph for my next bong I'll try one of theirs, my local headshop doesn't have the GREATEST bong selection but it's got some, mainly only illadelph and LC's, some other ones.

 

One reason why you should have wave went with Illadelph man, their logos are made of the highest quality materials available and won't rub or chip off. I've tried (and if it does for you, sorry bud, that's a knock off). Illadelph has the pride and integrity it takes to be a high end glass company.

I don't dig left coast mainly because of their logo. For one, it looks so cheap. And second,it looks like the Illadelph logo (I know it's obvious, but there's no originality; and c'mon, if everyone stylized their logo like roor, would we be content with that? variety is the spice of life my friend )

Left Coast, it would have been nice to see you with a North Face stylized logo, that would have been fresh and dope.

 

Sorry to tell ya man but after about 3 years of cleaning the downstem the rasta Illadelph logo has worn off except the yellow. I am 100% positive it is not a knockoff.

 

Hm, I don't know what to say except they are of the HIGHEST quality. My buddy's girlfriend picked up a SYN and the label washed off first time she wiped it. Maybe it wasn't applied properly or whoever made them had a bad batch. Sorry man, but you can't burst my bubble!

Sorry man I didn't mean to come off as standoff ish...I agree illys are over very good quality and is my daily driver. I mean its been through over 3 years of use and been washed hundreds of times to its kind of expected...still hits like a champ though....

 

About to pick up this same bong for 60 bucks. pretty good deal, right? It's "like" used and owner is selling b/c he wants a smaller one

 

Holy shit dude, I my fuckin downstem hole is chipped as a bitch too, it's crazy. I actually have a crack that's about an inch long, and it trips me out every time I see it, but it's still holdin together after about a month or so. This thing definitely rips though, I gotta pick up an ash catcher.
