Well I have a small closet grow ( 3 plants ) that I leave the door open on because I like to look at them. I smoke frequiently and have friends over alot to smoke with me, the room is hotboxed a good portion of the time. Is this bad for my plants at all?
Is it cigs or pot? Dont smoke cigs by em icky taste (and i smoke) but damn that shit sticks to everything. I wouldnt worry about pot smoke by the girls...as long as its not a twenty four hour suffocation and you are constantly blowing it on them with no sort of ventilation. But i am guessin since you grow you vent so I wouldnt worry..
well obviously it's bad for them for long peroids of time. It's ruining the air quality in your room especially if you HOTBOX. I'd suggest shutting the door when you smoke.....It will keep the smoke out of your closet.... AND MORE IMPORTANTLY....ALL of your friends WONT KNOW YOU GROW WEED.. assuming your friends see your 3 plants when your all hotboxing. otherwise good luck.
I just wanted to update the situation, i went completly organic, had 6 25w flouresents, used nothing but water, i hotboxed the crap outa my plants just for the hell of it, call it an experiment, and they turned out just fine, no bad effects from what i can tell, great drough, its in the curring process, overall it looks like im getting about 2 ounces dry weight from 3 plants about 1 1/2 feet tall. on my next grow ill get pics and all the fun stuf for people to look at so others can see just how easy it can be when done right. and also im gonna get eco grow and bloom and monster growth ferts for a crazy crop. and thx for all the imput guys it kept me on my toes, I dont suggest hotboxing plants! but hell it was fun!
actually if your friends are legit i would encourage it the more you breath in that room the more c02 you produce = more friends = more c02. Plants NEED c02 to gow
If you smoke weed next to the plants you might scare them. Its like eating a chicken sandwich next to your pet chicken... Just kidding. On a serious note, I hope you really trust your friends knowing that you grow weed.
True enough, but carbon monoxide isn't.. and the residue can stick to stomata which inhibits transpiration/growth i would cut back on the hotboxing for sure
Thx for the great advice guys, i never said go do it, but I saw no illeffect, not that im going to do it again, i had no money to spend heince the small lights and "organic" ya whatever. so i said fuk it I supercroped one, if you havent heard of Supercropping go look it up its nutz, and it does help to some degree for a small set up. granted a newbie grower i could easly see killing a plant or maby 2 trying this method. Ii grew up in a small town with good friends, my growing is not a worry, its a way of life around here. I didnt know so many people were so scared of leting people know... i mean come on now its just weed!
