Is my weed "rotten"

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Pseudo, Mar 14, 2009.

  1. I got a half ounce about 2 months ago, but i've been really busy so i still have about 3 grams left, i kept it in baggie in a washed out jar that was still a bit wet when i put it in there. I used the jar because it was sour d and would stink up the whole house if i didnt seal it up. Now the weed is "mushy", like i can squeeze it together and its not as dry as before, most of it is shake though. I looked and it doesnt seem to have mold on it or anything. i was just wondering if the dro is safe to smoke or if i should dipose of it?

  2. probably man, a month is a realllllly long time for bud to be in an enclosed space with moisture.... when ppl try to "re-hydrate" their weed, they usually only leave it in for 24 hours at most i think... i wouldnt risk it man... and it doesnt really seem like weed is that important in your life considering you have had a half o for more then a month... not trying to sound dickish but 3 grams of mushy weed sounds sketchy

  3. i put it in the jar about a week and a half ago, it was just in dry baggies before that. think i should just make firecrackers with the weed or something? is it bad to consume/smoke my weed? will i get sick or something? and its not like watery mushy, its not like dry like a stick if you know what i mean, like i can squish it but its not like a leaf on a tree

  4. If it doesn't smell of ammonia or mold and there are no visible signs of mold or mildew then leave it out overnight to dry some and it should be fine.

  5. correct amigo

  6. alright, sound good! thanks guys

  7. Let us know how it smokes after drying 12 hours or so :)

It's a shame, a lot of otherwise good genetics sold as 'dank' aren't at all dried or cured properly. Properly cured cannabis can last for many months sealed in a jar with no problems at all.

  8. yup it was all good! most of it was kief so i got pretty damn stoned after a few bowls, but yeah it didnt seem to lose any taste or potency.
