"Three main traits I look at to see when buds are finishing, pistil recession/color change, calyx growth and trichome changes. I personally feel too many put their money on trichome color being the end-all to harvest, more to a plant saying she's done than just that and people get so hung up on what percent of their trichomes are what color. You can harvest an 8 week plant at 10 weeks, you may find it's exceptional for you at 10 weeks and just okay at 8. If unsure you can always harvest in stages as well, 1/3 plant next week, 1/3 the week later, etc."
