White Cheese Auto / 600w LED / 3x3

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by flightlessfeather, Feb 14, 2016.

  1. Hello!

    Welcome to My journal
    .

This past year I have been growing cannabis in coco coir with bottled chemical nutrients. I learned a lot this past year, especially that cannabis should be grown in soil. Also, I grew fond of ruderalis varieties, so that is what I will be growing this cycle - in organic soil.

STRAIN: White Cheese Auto x5 by Dinafem
    SOIL: Fox Farms Happy Frog
    LIGHTS: 180w* LED (1), 140w* LED (3)
    AREA: 3'x3' Tent
    POT SIZE: 5 gallon (2), 3 gallon (2), 2.5 gallon (1)

    *Watts reflect true power consumption

I cut the Happy Frog soil with nutrient-free perlite to stretch it out and avoid possible nutrient burn on the babies. I was able to fill up 18.5 total gallons of soil.

Here is the view of the tent! Testing the soil with a bagseed in the back.

I will be watering with wholesome distilled water.

SEEDS ARE STILL EN ROUTE... WILL UPDATE ASAP! [IMG]

I'm using Mars Hydro LED. I ordered the 100x3w from the website when they were still available and the 60x5w from eBay. I've been growing with this complete set up since last August and the plants love the lights.

    What are you using?

  4. Thanks, Baskin. I hope they arrive soon as well!

  5. Found a decent one from Amazon that had fairly good reviews for the most part called HollandStar, its a 300W model although Im not sure on the actual wattage. Bought it for the price vs reviews, and so far im not disappointed, although, im using it for two plants and the footprint is becoming too small fairly quickly. Need to upgrade the lights and was trying to find people who had used some with success (or not) and get a better idea of what to look for next.

My journal is in my signature if you want to check it out. Im week 4 at the moment, started the journal tonight and im updating it as fast as I can lol

  6. I'm not sure how much that model cost you, but my 5wx60 was like 70 bucks I think, but I ordered 3 at a time, lol. They cover about 1.5'x1.5' so about 1 decent size plant. If your model is any similar then you might want to look into buying another. Mars LED has done great so far and the newer spectrum is almost white once your eyes adjust - it's cool, lol. BUT, it's the only light I've purchased and have experience with aside from CFL.

    Cool, I'll check it out!

  7. How many plants are you running? The Mars Pro series, although pricey, are very good, I grow with Mars2 Hydro 700w.

    Happy growing!

  8. I am planning to run all 5 White Cheese Auto seeds I ordered. I also chose Quick One Auto as my freebie, so I might run that one as well.

I do like the Mars lights, but the bigger models are almost a waste of money for me right now. I bought 3 140 true watt panels for 60-70 dollars to add to my 100 dollar 180w panel. 600 true watts for 300 bucks. The Mars Pro Epistar 160 claims 300w in flower for almost 500 bucks! Same goes for the Mars II 700w... it is 300 bucks for about 300 true watts. I have almost double the wattage and coverage.
I prefer the smaller, cheaper lights and then overlapping them.

    Thanks!

  9. I can't wait I have had great results from a cheap 300w led. Good luck and check out my journal

  10. You and me both, lol!
    Thanks!

  11. Growing 2 at the moment. From what ive been reading, I was leaning towards galaxy hydro or Mars hydro as they go by now, as theyve got the most reputation and ease of accessibility here in Canada. If I had my way, Id go with either the Kind XL750 or a couple Platinum P600's but hey... were not all rich right? haha

Not sure if your question was for me or for FF, as you quoted me lol

  12. This IS a pretty good idea... Might reconsider how I approach my lights now hahaha

  13. No kidding, ha!

When I saw the deal for the lights I said, "No way! That can't be right!" lol... but it added up for me.

The high-end LED lights ARE really nice; if I could afford to have 2 (or more lol) of those babies in my tent, I WOULD!

  14. Well I'd go for the Mars Hydro 2, I have both Mars Hydro and Galaxyhydro lights. The Mars 2 Hydro lights give a wider spectrum and more lumens per square foot.

    Happy growing!

  15. Good News!

I received my seeds today from The Vault!

The order took 7 business days to receive. The packaging was discrete and professional.

Inside, I found everything bubble-wrapped together.

The order was for (5) White Cheese Auto by Dinafem. In addition to the White Cheese Autos, I received (1) Quick One Auto and (1) Critical+ Auto.
The Critical+ Auto was a surprise actually!

This cycle I will be running only the (5) White Cheese Autos. Inside the canister was a typical seed tube stuffed with cushion and freshener beads.

Here is a close-up of two of the White Cheese Auto seeds.

All 5 seeds are about 1/4" deep in soil in their individual pots. I am skipping the paper towel method from here on out, especially since they're autos; I want to limit early stress.

  17. I have 4 ladies (photo period) in my 3'x3' and it's just about as crowded as I'd like. I'm on my 3rd week of flowering and they are about 18 inches tall. There's very little horizontal space with my 4. Just throwing that out there.

  18. I don't plan on doing much training to these gals, so I'm hoping they will keep their arms in. The most I have had in my tent at once is 2 photoperiods and 2 autos and they actually had quite a bit of room so I had a few houseplants in there as well..

    We shall see!
