First pickup ever, did I get ripped off?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by CampfireCat, Feb 13, 2016.

  1. Some guy I talk to out of town always brags about how he can get weed super easy because his buddy grows it medicinally, and so I told him to grab me a gram and I'd give him 20 Canadian Dollars (around 15 USD) for a gram of Fire OG Kush. Getting it next Saturday. Here's a picture he sent me and since I'm new to this and it's my first time making a deal, I'm wondering if I got ripped off and whether or not it's good quality weed. Thanks guys.

  2. You got a smiley bag. That alone makes the deal golden.....

  3. looks like you got a fair deal

  4. Good to hear thanks.

  5. Can't tell if its quality weed just by looking at it alone.. but by looks, it doesn't look to bad.

  6. if you plan on smoking quite often and care about being ripped off a lot get some scales, it will be worth the investment especially if you start buying quite a bit at a time

  7. Thanks for the advice luckily I have a kitchen scale lying around somewhere so I might bring that with me next time I buy from this guy.

  8. dont bring the scales, get digital ones that can accurately measure tenths of grams and measure when you are home.

  9. I'll look into it. Thanks for looking out!

  10. no bother mate, if you think your dealer is sketchy and you are weighing keep an eye out for slowly decreasing weights and if it keeps going down stop buying from him or tell him

  11. No, you were not ripped off, as you say.

  12. $20 for a gram is a rip off. its $10. a gram would last you a day max
They sell smiley bags at any headshop

  13. 15 usd for a gram (looks like maybe a little bit more) could be worth it if its good weed. thats about £10 which we pay over here so it works like that.

  14. he said $20 Canadian. In Canada thats a rip off

  15. im not too sure about canadian money haha, if its a rip off there haggle with him

  16. Did some research after posting this and apparently $20 CDN ($15 USD) for a gram of Fire OG Kush isn't too bad of a deal. Most of the guys who posted here seem to agree that the weed isn't crap quality either, and it's a medicinal strain so I believe (as a newbie) it could be worth more than the average strain you'd find in the street. This guy's the only connection I have and I find him to be a trustworthy friend so looking back at it I doubt he'd rip me off considering I see him at least once a week. Please correct me if any of the statements about the weed I made weren't accurate. I'd love to get some more insight.

  17. Dude best advice would be start buying 1/8 for $35

  18. Definitely looks like someone had it in their anus.

Looks good to me. I'd personally never pay more than $10 for a .9 but that's just me, get a scale and as time goes on you be glad you have it to weight it out as you buy more, all in all looks good, next time get a HQ meaning 1/8th I get mine for $40 tho I can get for $35 this new guy I get from has some dank and changes $50 ugh but its fire so I don't mind paying a bit more but I'd much rather get an oz because I smoke a lot

  20. Right now, you should be talking business with your friend for future deals. If that stuff is good, tell him to get you an 8th for 35. 40 even. The lower the better though. If he knows the grower, you can get some good prices. Only costs around $10 per ounce to grow quality weed after initial start up.
