Tattoo isnt scabbing

  1. I had a tattoo done Wed by one of best local artists. Its a massive tattoo. The strange thing its not scabbing. I have had many tattoos and each scabbed a lot

  2. it will eventually so long as you are human.

  3. It might take longer to scab. I had a half sleeve done on my upper arm and it had no scabbing issues at all. Didn't even know it was common for a tattoo to scab. I think it depends on the skills of the tattoo artist and the design. I have a friend that got his tat from an at home artist. Shit looks all uneven in black and had scabs cracking everywhere.

  4. skin is getting dry no scabs

  5. it shouldn't scab alot if done well and taken care of.

  6. thats my fifth and previous four scabbed like so

  7. its hard to tell from the pic but some of it looks like the artist went too deep. The white flaky dry skin is normal if taken care of but the darker dried blood looking scabs usually come from being done too deep. Maybe you found a more skillfull artist this time.

  8. Not bad, keep it clean and moist. My tattooist always gives AD ointment. Switch it up with lotion as well.

  9. The new guy is into leave it alone treatment he told me to not touch it and wash few times per day

  10. You should definitely put some cream on it make sure it is fragrance free and no oily

  11. Day 4 its scabbing

  12. Congrats on the scabbing

I have 5 tattoos, one really large on about 1/5 of my body and I actually have never had a tattoo really scab up...I keep it really moist for a week with aquaphor then switch to an unscented lotion and while I will definitely get some of the excess ink that peels away I don't actually scab up too bad. Maybe it depends on the artist and their technique, but I swear by the week of aquaphor, that shit is amazing

    Edit: Also, excellent avatar....Snoogans
