Alright this is my first time growing; i got some good seeds from my dealer i started them in a wet paper towel and plastic bag and taped to my window for 3 days then they germinated and i put them in the starter cups and they are under two of the white and blue spectrum LED lights (still havent emerged from soil). Anyways i was wondering in the future could i use 5 or maybe 8 of both white and red spectrum (about 100-160w) to grow one or two 3x3 or 4x4 plants? i got them at home depot they are Feit electric 19w LED grow lights i have two of the white and blue spectrum for further germination and vegetation growth and the red and pinkish for flowering. the white and blue are 6500k and the red and pinkish are 2500k. please leave advice and comments!

19 watts isn't enough maybe for a baby sprout for the first week.

  3. right now about 40w i have two white spectrum LED lights over the seeds in grow cups in soil mixture of 30% perlite miracle grow organic and spaghem peat moss

  4. my opinion, again opinion, would be to use the lights you have already bought on any seedlings/clones you start. And buy/build a different light to flower in the space you described. A 3x3 or 4x4 will need 400-600 watts minimum.

I do 4 plants at a time. I am an electrician. LED lights are not the same. They’re diodes. If you want a two hundred dollar increase in your electric bill listen to theses guys. I use the blue light setting for veg and two weeks into my flower to help keep them from stretching as much. Then I turn on the red. These are the spectrum adjustable lights from feit sold at Home Depot. There is about 2000 lumens 3 inches off the plants measured with my meter. Zero heat as well.

  6. Ok, I’m digging your setup. I was wondering what about the bottom of the plant during flowering?
