INTRODUCTION: This is 100% organic grow!!! whats up GC! good to be back getting ready for this years outdoor season in California. super excited about this years strain selection. dont really have much goin on at the moment but couldnt wait to get into the GC spirit. This is my 3rd attempt at cannabis cultivation and for those that know me i feel like ive come a long way since my first lol. Last season was fuckin awesome and i hope to at the very least repeat it......But i have bigger plans.... This off season just like the last 2 i have been floating around the forums and talking with like minded growers just doing my best to soak up all the knowledge i can, so i can be the best grower i can. Allot, if not all, of methods i use and knowledge i have obtained though out the last 2 years has pretty much came from this here forum. so its best suited that i stay active and continue learning and hope someone can benefit from GC as much as i have and continue to do! So right after harvest I pulled 300 gallons of my built soil out of 3 holes I was wasn't going to use again, and set it on a tarp.Went to go check on how things are doing and to give it a quick drench and to see if I have any type of gnats to deal with before mixing again. No gnats! But damn was there LIFE! 1000s of worms! Baby's and maybe the biggest worm I've yet to see in a garden with my own eyes. Never introduced. Just welcomed themselves. I have a great feeling about this season.....FEED YOUR SOIL NOT YOUR PLANTS!
Found it. I always recycle my soil. It gets better every year. I'm not surprised with all the worms. Living in the valley we have rich soil already and when you have a nutrient rich soil designed gif cannabis worms will find it and work the soil. I've been farming my own worm casting this year. In fact I need to harvest a bin tomorrow. I'll have clones in a few weeks that I'll be re homing. So what's the plan with the tent you have coming? What's the run down? Size, lighting ect...
I can't wait to get my soil re amended and see how it does this year. Pulled all my dirt out the holes yesterday and it smelt so rich and good. I've got a 5x5 with a 4ft 8bulb t5. Got the hangers and tray yesterday. Along with an Acu Rite humidity and temp monitor. Tent will be here monday. But I'm popping beans today.

yeah tell me about it. I still got my elbow in my ass.. Vegging in my shed under 8 4ft t5s Mango tango reg seeds. Picked then up at the cannabis cup. ( but I just ordered a bunch of new seeds nexus I'm going a lol crazy right now being new) Only 1 week old. In solo cups with happy frog for now. Will transfer to 3 gal pots and finish vegging till they out grow my shed. Then it's outside into a raise garden bed. That I still need to build Using roots organic nutes. I'm in sunny southern Cali. So I will be growing year around if we don't get to much rain.
Have you ran into Brassnwoods journal? hes a vet and super easy going, informative and helpful dude. Also in SoCal. grows year round.
I got a seed order in recently and picked up the CC Alien OG too; along with THSeeds Underdawg Kush, Phenofinders Notorious OG, Moxies Zod, DNA gyo White Alien and OG Raskals Fire Alien Kush. I've been trying my hand at breeding since last season (Aliensjackd'up x Critical Hog, Aliensjackd'up x Jack Herer) and plan on doing the same this season with some new Alien genetics. As far as this seasons lineup....I'm still undecided. I do have some starts going though that include Underdawg Kush, Notorious OG, Zod and DutchDragon from femmed seed and my 2 crosses AlienJack(x3) and AlienHog(x3) from reg seed. I remember you saying that your Bubbas gift was replaced on your order... I got mine so if I decide to pop it I will be sure to keep you in mind. Keep em green!
right on man. i wanted bubbas gift but wasnt going to pop it just yet. how has your luck been with fems? im super excited to have that alien og from seed. hopefully i get a bit more out out of her and score a good pheno. the smoke last year was wrecking people lol. tent came in today. just waiting on the light. no signs of germ yet. im sure within the next couple days somethin is going to pop and say hello. i dont like the anxiety from popping in soil. but i know its for the better.
I grew 10 of my 12 last season from seed no worries about early flowering was nice! topped all of them at the 5th node and let them go. Have only had 1 fem seed go herm out of around 40 or so so far and that was a Cindy 99 freebie. Looking at last year's log I germed on 3/25 and put them out 4/20 most finished by 10/1.
