Just potting soil?

  1. I'm a week in from seed and my plants are still in the infant stage. Will I have any issues just using organic soil? No mix just straight soil light and water will do the trick right? In retrospect I wish I had atleast thrown some perlite in with the soil to help with drainage and such but I digress. Also how often should I water? I've heard infants don't need much water like once every two weeks right

If it's "organic" soil, you will want to keep it "moist", to reap the benefits of it being organic soil. Not wet, moist. Use some kind of mulch cover to avoid top drying out. And yeah should of probably added perlite. Hopefully you put in small pots so when you repot to larger, you can add some kind of drainage ammendment. So how often you will water will depend on how fast your soil drys out. Your goal is soil that is just moist. So you will have to Guage for yourself when the plant needs water.
