The CBD Scene

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by kcsov6, Feb 9, 2016.

  1. Ok guys, this could get lengthy. Also you can skip the first few paragraphs as its mostly back story. Also this is best suited for Medical Card holders and any CBD experience smokers.

I've taken around a year off smoking due to an incident involving my brother. (Before I get into that, some of this may come off as redundant at first, but it will come full circle).

I had smoked on and off for 3 years. I could go from just half a joint of reg laughing to the "let's try a blunt of Loud by myself" variables. It solved a life-long anxiety problem I had dealt with.

Around 2 grow seasons ago, anxiety started creeping back in. I started to notice smoking making it worse. Well I read all this new developing propaganda about Gemma Moss (Google her if you don't know) and her Sudden Cardiac Death attributed to cannabis. Around this time my little brother (who has no idea who Gemma Moss is) winds up in the hospital with a Heart Rate of 180 and PVC/PCV? Some benign arrhythmia.

Well I can't smoke now because every time I do I'm pulse checking, anxiety, all this nonsense. I actually wind up on Klonopin 0.25 MG once a day that I still take. Yet not the relief I ever got from MJ.

    * Notes: I know just calm down. Breathing techniques. Chew pepper corns. It's all in my head. Weed hasn't killed anyone. Whatever I know.

** THC does cause increased heart rate, although benign MOSTLY doesn't rule put 100%. I don't live in a med friendly state and my cardiologist and Primary Physician both immediately said "pot is bad, don't smoke". No referral or testing to see how I could better or even if I can withstand Marijuana safely.

A year+ of research and the booming CBD fields have me intrigued. To shorten this down I'll just post my questions.

Conflicting information of CBD has NO EFFECT on heart rate/ CBD slows raised Heart Rate/ CBD counters negative effects of THC has me curious as to would a 1:1 or 2:1 strain be beneficial if it negates the effect? Or should I go straight to growing my own 1% or less THC 5+% CBD? That would boil down to Med Gom Auto and CBD Therapy respectively.

Also read conflicting accounts of propanolol (beta blockers) negating the heart rate issues. Then propanolol making things worse by causing auditory hallucinations when mixed with cannabis. Both studies were NIH.gov studies. Any input? As I do have access to Propanolol.

Also CBD Crew has been most helpful and prompt in email responses and a respected name popping up in any CBD article.

Sorry for all of this and I'm sure I'm leaving out questiona, but this is a year in the making. I would love to get off of Benzos as they do not provide the relief MJ had at earlier points in my life.

Please I don't need any your heart is fine. What's your heart rate? That's decent posts as I would rather just eliminate or reduce the spiked heart rate problem as a better precaution than ignore it.

    I love this forum
