How to decarboxylate with minimal smell?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by ohcarly, Feb 8, 2016.

  1. Hey all-
Recently had to move back in with my family, so looking for tips or recipes for making weed coconut oil with minimal smell.
I'm working with what I have, which is 1 oz of trim. I have no crockpot.
I've read recipes about using mason jars, though all seem to call for decarboxylating the weed first in an oven (which is where I'm concerned the smell, glorious as it is, would give me away.)
Alternatively, any tips on getting the kitchen to smell neutral within a few hours?

    Thanks!

  2. I've read about people decarbing cannabis inside a mason jar (a jar made to withstand the heat of canning). Just prepare your herb, place in jar and place jar in oven. There will probably be some minimal smell. Good luck, keep us posted. Oh, yeah, burn a candle in the kitchen while cooking.
