Tiny white spots on top of leaf

  1. Hi all, I have some kind of bug can anyone tell me what it actually is and how to treat it plz? They look to be tiny dark insects ( smaller than pin head) the leaves have white spots on top and underside. My plants are about 3". Some help would be much appreciated

    Maybe Spider Mites?

    If that's not it then google aphid damage..

  5. I just replied to your second post, but after reading this one it definitely sounds like thrips. The white deposites on top of the leaves are a sign of them. The description of those bugs fit that of an adult thrip, too. Adults fly, but the young ones dont have wings yet.

  8. Thanks guys I went to garden centre and bought "Yates Maverick gun insect spray" Kent to be spider mite & aphid killer. Thanks for helping
