  1. I feel like all the books ive ever read were sad or depressing. Im not much of a reader but i would like to read more. Can someone recommend me a book thats happy all the way. Maybe some book that can teach me something about life? It just needs to have happy sunshiney days with tea and crackers lol but seriously i need a book that just says life is beautiful and that wont bring me down cuz i really feel like all the books i read are just depressing and i just want something nice and uplifting to read

  2. On a serious note I really enjoy Huck Finn/Tom Sawyer. There's a lot to chew on there, but on its surface it's a pretty fun set of books.

Call of the Wild/White Fang too.

Ernest Cline's "Ready Player One" is pretty lighthearted and playful, and it ends on a happy note. It's also a fairly quick read, and it's chock full of pop culture references for those who grew up in the 80s and 90s (and to a lesser extent, the 00s).

  6. Some books that changed my life.

Think and Grow rich- completely free on the internet. This book is a fantastic guide on how to just be successful, period.

Leadership by General Rick Hillier- This book is just.. If you have to lead a team of people or if you are an aspiring leader, this book will change your freaking life. Its so simple and yet so effective. Helped forge me into the leader i am today.

The 15 laws of invaluable growth- This book is a massive undertaking to read, but it will help you understand exactly why having mentors in your life is so important. I would recommend getting this on audible.com, as the read is very, very, very long.

Art and fear- This is just an incredible book. More of an artsy one, but incredible nonetheless.

How to win friends and influence people- This book helped me become a better salesman, a better person and a better leader. It teaches us that people are still our greatest resource and how to utilize that resource in the most effective ways possible. Also goes in depth into using advanced social skills like making cold calls, etc.

Smart Calling- This book takes the term cold calls and morphs it into "Smart Calls" it is fucking incredible if your a salesman and still retains its value even if you are not. This is a very specific book on how to approach people and be likable. I cannot lie, even the first chapter of this book completely changed me as a salesman and the entire book, as a person. Its hard hitting, to the point and loaded with tons of information.

Noble Savages- If your not quite interested in self development books, but instead just want a fascinating read on human nature in general, this book is great. The book is written by an anthropologist who basically goes against the grain on the entire study of anthropology as a whole, some would say redefining the entire study of anthropology as a whole. The book is just incredible.

  13. ^^^^
Even now I know that I have savoured the hot taste of life Lifting green cups and gold at the great feast. Just for a small and a forgotten time I have had full in my eyes from off my girl The whitest pouring of eternal light. The heavy knife. As to a gala day.

    Gets me every time

  14. Read "All The Bright Places"

  15. Everything Sir Terry Pratchett ever wrote, seriously if you watched any of the film adaptations they're great and all but, not a patch on the books.
Robert Asprin's Myth Adventures and Phule's Company are awesome. Just avoid Cold Cash War, great book but not so uplifting :p

  16. I think I will have to check those out when I finish reading "where ever you go there you are"-Jon katan-zinn. I would recommend this for a happy book. I'm not much of a reader but this has made me one. Very interesting on how to open up your mind and live in the moment.
    Happy reading!!!!
