Chicken Manure Fertilizer Tea

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by Marcusanthy2, Feb 5, 2016.

  1. Hey guys i will start making my own tea i got some questions

1 - It's a good ideia to put the tea before i put the seeds on the soil? For a more richer soil...dunno just tryna figure it out
2 - how many times should i feed them with the fertilizer?
3 - I would like to know about the experiences you guys had using this method, what did you learned with time when it comes to this... I'm a newbie and the experience of the more experienced people in this area help me a lot to not commit fatal errors in the growth journey ...

  2. You don't need or even want a rich tea like that on tender young seedlings. They simply don't need it. I wouldn't use a chicken manure tea until your plants are well established - at least outgrowing a 1 gallon container.

Chicken manure is an excellent additive - but should be used when plants are established and carefully. It's very possible to "burn" plants with chicken manure that is not composted, too.

I use chicken manure pellets reasonably often but the manure is at least aged before the pellets are made. The *best* way to use them is to add them directly to your soil but to wait at least two weeks and even longer before planting into it - depending on how much you use. You can safely add several cups of the pellets per cubic foot of soil but you should allow the soil time to cycle before planting.

As far as teas go, you really don't need this if you are planting into a good organic soil. What are you growing in?
