Im growing outdoors (PLEASE HELP ME OUT)

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by BigfuckingFirehose, Feb 5, 2016.

  1. So, its the 5th of February, and im deciding to grow my first ever marijuana plant. Ive planted three seeds throughout my yard, and I am unsure if this is a safe month to start growing. The sun is shining bright today and its nice and windy where i live (well, at least for today). I watered them shortly after planting them. Another question i have is how often should i water an outdoor weed crop? Any answers or suggestions?

  2. They might do ok as a spring run but they'd do better if you dig them back up and put them in some small planting cups like 3x3x3 inch.. While you may live where it doesn't freeze like I do the daylight hours are way to short still and they will flower as soon as they are mature assuming the ground is warm enough to sprout them.. About 30 days..
What you can do is keep them under 24 hours of light per day until they get some size on.. Plant them about mid to late march and you'll harvest about June 1st..

Thank you, but actually I've given up on growing them outdoors. Now I'm deciding to grow it indoors in a red solo cup. My first question is will a ceiling light be enough light to grow it, and how often do I have to water it?
EDIT: And also, does it matter how deep I bury the seed and does it also make a difference that I used some dirt from the ground (though it is really moist as I dug it up from the ground) and didn't use black soil?

  4. The seed doesn't have to be very deep. It depends on what kind of ceiling light and how close it is. Like a cfl a couple inches away works ok. You should have perlite mixed in with the soil to help with aeration and drainage. You will need some kind of fertilizer or organic additives for the soil and do you plan on going start to finish in a solo cup? As for the watering its hard to say there are too many variables that affect that

  5. Why did you give up on growing outdoors? Your first post was 5 days before you gave up.. Seems like you hardly gave it a go. If you give up after 5 days outdoor I can't imagine your indoor grow will be too great..
