By looking at the pictures can anyone please give me some help and tell me what Im doing wrong and what changes should be made. Any tips and comments would be of assistance.
These are all nug bag seeds. Like blue dreams, some tahoe og kind. Purple og kush and other types of greens available around my area. All the plants are 2 weeks old from seed. Day 14 after sprouting. Watered once a day and sprayed twice have. Cfl and a led 6 to 8ins away. Closet style grow . Dont mind the beer cans haha I bought one gal pots for there first transplant. I plan to do that tomorrow during a watering

  2. What's the timing been like with your lights? Left that part out. Also, as crazy as it is to ask, are they regular seeds, auto or feminized?

  3. That picture lists the lights I'm using now. The plants have had light 24/7, since they've sprouted 14 days ago. Just added the three cfls last four or five days id say. Figured id have lights 24/7 til I decide to flower 12/12. And all the seeds are just bag seeds from a personal nugs accumulated or two months.. hoping to get some females and toss out the males when the start to show sex. Other than that no way to really know what the seeds are really or the genetics unfortunately. My second grow I will purchase seeds

  5. The only downside to getting the seeds from different nugs, especially if you get them from different people, is you don't know what the grow cycle is. Certain strains require more time to flower, different light settings, etc. Some have a 10 week flowering time, some have a 14. Some need more light than others. From the pictures that - I no longer see? - they seem to be growing well. Good rate. It's just going to be a tossup when it comes to any that flower. You may end up with some buds that weren't treated properly because of the strain. They'll still work, but won't be fully enjoyable.

Instead of buying some, see if you can figure out what you get seed wise this time based on the buds. If you can figure out what they are or even get close, you can look up their grow cycle and next time you'll have even better results. [IMG]

  6. I'm not sure what happen to the pictures unforuantely. I'm crossing my fingers hoping for the best results I can get for a first grow circumstaces. And tips and info is appreciated. I plan to post on this thread throughout the whole grow!

    455 watts of cfls= 6775 lumens
400 watts hps= 36,000 lumens give or take depending on the brand
Costs more to run the CFLs and it won't even come close in yeild.

it's hard to find good lights and growing equipment for cannabis here without ordering it. But looking to buy a better light. I'd love to grow with 1000w lights

  10. Hi JASONs.... Ordering equipment is how we all do it. That's how you get decent prices on this stuff since you surely can't afford grow store prices. I was hesitant at first about ordering items and having them sent to my house. But after a few orders, I realized that most everyone I ordered from did a great job concealing the products inside and I order through Amazon Prime (because of free shipping) and the labels say everything is coming from Amazon, so no way to know exactly what's inside. The post above about not being able to take these seeds to full maturity because you don't know what you've got or how long to flower them......well, just disregard that. No matter what strain of weed you're growing, all you do to tell if it's ready to harvest or not is look at the trichomes through a loupe. They don't mature until they're ready, so there's not any issues about when to harvest regardless what you're trying to grow. And the comment about some strains requiring more light than others is not true. The more light you give them to flower under, the bigger and more dense your buds will be...and they ALL work under that premise. So you go ahead and finish out the seeds you've got. They'll show sex in veg usually around 8 weeks of age. Cull the males and then continue on with the selected females.
The things that you need to be doing or most concerned with at this stage are: 1. Having them in good quality formulated grow soil that is light and arid and designed specifically for them to grow in. 2. Make sure every drop of liquid that goes into your plants is pH'd to a range of 6.3 to 6.7. This is a biggie as far as keeping your plants healthy. Watering out of range will lock up the roots on your plants and they can't take in nutrition. 3. Use proper watering habits: I couldn't see the pictures, but you say you're watering daily. STOP!!! These plants' roots don't like sitting in constant moist conditions. They will develop bud rot. Do not water until the container they are in has almost dried COMPLETELY out. Over watering is the biggest killer of plants by new growers. If you'll do these things during the veg cycle, you should be good. Notice....no nutes given. You don't start nutes till the plants have had a chance to use up what is in the soil. If you're using a good quality soil, you don't need nutes for several weeks into veg.
Read in the new grower threads here. Lots of posts there just for the new grower. Good luck! TWW

your totally fine ordering lights or find a hydro store/ grow shop nearby. I'm in Illinois bro, they're around. Most places ship discreetly , plus its not illegal. Your set up now is really wasting energy and $ and negatively effecting yeild.

Also you want light and airy soil, not light and arid as the previous poster mentioned. Arid is unable to support life. You definetly do not want arid soil.

thank you for all the info. I keep learning more and more everyday with all the research I've been doing, I wish I wasn't on a budget this grow. Every harvest will get better. Each grow I plan to have better equipment to maximize my yields. I'm having a ton of fun growing these plants. Wish I could make this a career here Pictures are from 2 minutes ago. Plants are 19 days old. Fingers crossed on thes

  13. also I just topped one plant and fem cut another plant as my test plants. My girlfriends cat unfortunately topped one by eating it . So these are my test plants. Also one plant had one first leave and there blades, now just an odd plant so I wanna see what she ends up doing to, here's a picture of those for babies . Also have two small plants that are growing normal. What's everybody think? Some of the plants already have nine blades per leave by the fourth and fifth row of leaves.

  14. NIce ! i just topped mine too tonihght !
What soil are you using and what fert ?

  15. your plant looks good!!! What do you use? My plants were started in JIFFY tamato refills and was just transplanted into miracle grow now. Then I'm gonna transplant into an organic soil during flowering. This is my first grow and I've heard a lot about mg but it's all that's available at the big stores here in Missour. It's all different mug bag seeds as well. My next grow I will purchase seeds. Better lights and everything else. This is my trial and error grow!

  16. haven't used any ferts besides what's already in this soil. I did mix earth worm castings since its high in nitrogen. Un phed water as well until yesterday. But ph is still wrong. Testing crap I bought didn't work out as planned

  17. do u know what your plant is????! Keep me updated on your grow or please post a link that I can find and follow

  18. alright man . I started from seed and its blueberry kush i bought it from king crop .com .

Starded from promix BX, and today i bought worm casting for extra N .. I should have mix it before i transplant but it is my first grow so im still learning... I did got a problem with N-P-K deficiencies because I starded in a soilles medium :( But I should receive by the mail this week 5 seeds of Haze Extreme , So this time it will be 6 part of PROMIX + 2 part of earth worm + 2 part of perlite+ Delomite for ph.

But i do think that starting with the type of soil you started with is the best way because when it's a first grow adding some chemical might be touchy.

I also bought 20-20-20 fert for second grow.

This blueberry grow I don't know if it's gonna be viable because i'm starting to see nitrogen / phosphore / calcium def in 1 grow ... I feed them with plain ozone water 10 ppm / no nutes so that is really slow the grow and I see brow leaves and yellowing on some plant.. I'm jsut waiting for them to dry the fuck out add water with my 20-20-20 fert

It all started with this little tiny brown dot fucker[IMG]

  19. its going to be tough going w/ your CFLs trying to get ahead, especially being new. Yeilds usually aren't the best at 1st. Sometimes it doesn't even happen at all or its poor quality. Learn to grow first. A cheap 400 watt light can be picked up for around $120-$150 and I would still consider that a personal use light. If you're a smoker yourself don't expect to be sharing too much, couple ounces is all if your lucky w/ those lights. It goes fast if you smoke.
